I use Windows 10 though it was a little difficult to understand because it's mostly graphic but so far so good

I use windows 10 on my spouses laptop and I'm not really happy with it. I prefer windows 8. I don't even use 8.1 because I installed it once and it messed up my laptop :o

I have been using Windows 10 on my laptop and really have not had a problem using it. I like some of the features that it has and I like the backgrounds that it has.

Yes I like it. It is better than 8.1 my previous version of Windows that confused me. But thanks to MS they offered Windows 10 free of cost and did everything for me.

I have read reviews about Window 10, both good and bad. So I haven't upgraded yet. I just don't like it when they are forcing us to do it. I am comfortable with what I have and hate any type of change since I am not very knowledgeable with computer.

Been using windows 10 for a few months now, I can say I do like it but the windows updates are just annoying, they should let users to decide whether we want them or not. They make the computer slow and lag. Sometimes I do think to go back to windows 7 again.

I think Windows 10 is a welcome upgrade, but I have been around PC's long enough that upgrades are old hat for me. I started with CP/M, then DOS, Windows 3.1, XP. 8.1 and a few more in between. They all do pretty much the same things, let me run programs, file housekeeping and access remote servers like the Internet (which was BBS before now). As long as they do their job, I can adjust to them.

Actually I am planning to buy a new laptop with Windows 10 version. From what I had heard there are positive and negative feedbacks about this and I will study it carefully before making my final decision.

I use an old Dell laptop, and changed to Windows 10 a couple of months ago, from W7. It was an easy upgrade. There are one or two small niggles, but on the whole it seems fine. If you're interested in boot times, I think it has improved a bit. I don't often reboot fully - usually just hibernate the machine, so boot times are not that important to me.

Since I am going to purchase a PC soon a friend recommended between windows 10 or 7. I am yet to check it out but looks like window 8 wasn't recommended, I wonder why. Correct guidance and advice will highly be appreciated :) as I too need to make a wise decision soon.

Windows 8 was different enough that a lot of people did have problems, but 8.1 resolved most of them and 10 is better yet. There is a free upgrade from 8.1 to 10.

I would say your friend was not very informed, Windows 8 has a free upgrade to Windows 8.1 or Windows 10, so it's fine. However, unless there is some financial reason to buy an older version, Windows 10 is the logical choice.

I won't say I don't like windows 10.

Save for the changed locations of various icons, Windows 10 appears to be cool.

Nevertheless, Windows 10 requires large disc space.

I was once rudely shocked upon finding out that my laptop cannot work with Windows 10 owing to inadequate disc capacity.

Since you can buy a 500Gb laptop hard drive for $70 now, space does not seem to be much of a problem. Even better, get a 1Tb Hybrid drive with 8Gb solid state drive built in and still be under $100.

Yes! I have been using it for a few months now and I really like it! The only downside is that my favorite antivirus, Avast!, will not work with Window 10. My Start Menu will not show up if Avast is enabled. Other than that ... I liked the simplicity style Window 10 have.
