Do youtube podcasters just start drama for views? it seems so

Postby MysticMoons » 30 Apr 2023, 22:34

I think podcasting especially on youtube is becoming like old drama talk shows like jerry springer. with fake beef and drama and podcasters fighting it just seems so funny! but it also seems fake. what do you all think?
have you seen this happening lately in the streaming and podcast world ?

here is an example.. what do you think?

I think it's interesting to watch the corelation between how many subscribers (652K) he has and how many views this video has (217K) so 435K of his loyals don't even bother to watch and of those 217K who do, how many just do it to make a comment for statistics and could not care squat about what he says?

Trisha Paytas, Keemstar and Ethan Cline are the ones who started this trend. They are called "drama" and "tea" channels. Beauty Gurus also starts a lot drama. Remember the controversies of James Charles and Tatiana.

These kinds of stuff often result in more clicks on their videos , which in turn means more ad revenue for them . Heated discussions in the comments section gives to video more exposure which in turn , gets recommended to even more people . Sadly YouTube if full of fakers like these

oh yeah i know Keemstar .. Ethan and Trisha do the whole drama thing.. Keem even has a channel called Drama alert..but some of his beefs were real i think.
I feel with some of these other guys its all staged like planned...i could be wrong..
but ever since the beer with Charlie and Sneako got huge.. it seems magially sneako is beefing with people
who were or are all friends.. just seems fishy lol like they are doing to boost all their views
