Google is going to delete accounts not used for 2 years. To keep your accounts active, You must at least log in once a year. If you are inactive for a long time you must go through a 2 step verification. I have 6 accounts and I use them for the storage in google drive. I decided to log in to 2 of them since I havent touched them for years since their only purpose for them is for hoarding files.

When I say google account it covers gmail, Youtube, Google drive and other google services.

Thanks for alerting us to this @Netherrealmer. I suspect there will soon be people looking for their old content on Google Drive or to access their old Gmail accounts, only to be disappointed to find that they have been deleted.

I have to turn my old laptop and check one gmail account. It is mostly used for spam sites or microjobs but it is connected to freenom account where I can get free domains.

Your alert is godsend @Netherrealmer. I have more than ten gmail accounts, of which I only use 3 frequently. I guess I have to log into these many accounts to prevent google from deleting them.

I cannot let my multiple emails die because I need google drives as storage. I stopped using flash drives so I upload in clouds to save money, I made multiple emails since each emails can give me 15 gb of space.

Can you just use different Windows or Tabs? What do you chose when it asks you if you want to disable notifications when you logon to each account? Does that open all the accompanied Microsoft Accounts too?

Chrome just remember 1 password for gmail. So each of my browsers have their own gmail instead.

Logging On to read that mail is being active. If you have thousands of emails sitting there unopened, you are NOT being active and are wasting resources, so your account will be deleted.

Oh I get it. It is not supposed to be a difficult thing to log on and read your mails.

I have failed to understand what exactly Google means. What 8f I forwarded that email and access it from another mail? Will it be deleted as well? I use send mail as feature.
