Countries like Tonga, Nauru, Kuwait and USA have a huge obesity Pandemic. This new drug can suppress the hunger and cravings fat people have. It is close to be FDA approved.

I know a really sad true story. This guy was obese. They put him in a hospital. It was so heavy he could not turn over on his own. He had sores on one side of his body from not turning over. The medical staff did their best to control his diet and help him move around. When his girlfriend would come to visit him, she would sneak food in for him. Like fried chicken, salty potato chips, etc. The guy died.

Frankly, I think his girlfriend should be tried for murder. But I don't think she was charged.

I used to wonder HOW people got that big. But one time I was watching a TV show about an extreme makeover. Everybody in this lady's family was waiting for her to come home to see what she looked like after being made over. But while they were in their kitchen talking (- and their discussion was being filmed as part of the TV show -) there was a young girl sitting at the table with a large jar of peanut butter. She would make a statement and then swallow a spoonful of peanut butter. Every time she said something she would follow it by eating a spoonful of peanut butter. Right from the jar!!

Can you imagine eating like that??? WHY would you eat like that???

The thing is not everyone is able to do that specially if they have slow metabolism or they have thyroid problems

those people need medication to control their thyroid.

Its cool, but is this drug really safe? Most drugs like this usually have side effects when used for a long period of time.

There are weightloss drugs that got legal that proven to be safe.

Orlistat is safe and can even prevent diabetes but will make you poop a lot and you will get fat if you stop using.

Ozempic is a diabetes cure but now use for weight loss, You will need botox and face lift after the weight loss because the side effect is super loose skin.

If someone isn't obese, prevention is way better than cure. Like most addictions, food addiction can be very hard to control, and taking medications shouldn't be the way to go.

Since our country (USA) is talking so much about obesity, I checked to see what other countries have a problem. Of course, America is at the top of the list. But I'm kind of surprised to see some other countries.

I just hope that this new medicine has no severe side effects.
People in many more nations would like to have it.
Also I think such a Drug should be under a strict control and not given over the counter without a Doctor's prescription.

This is what I don't get about a lot of these prescribed drugs. Many of them have terrible side effects. You go to the doctor to fix one problem. He gives you a pill that gives you multiple problems that you didn't even have!
