Free VPNs are always known to be very slow. I prefer paid VPNs if I want to use a VPN. I think all paid VPNs have a free trial.

The free VPN version of Nord has lots of limitations that make it not suitable for optimal internet access.

Well, I use a VPN called Thunder VPN on my smartphone. It has both free and paid VPN servers and I use the free ones which most of the times satisfies my needs.

I found TunnelBear, works for PC and mobile. Supports African IP and servers. Great I found this.

For my laptop, I'm using Proton VPN. I'm not sure if it's one of the best, but it's good enough for me.
For my tablet, I'm using Turbo VPN.

I haven't compared them with any other free VPNs out there. But they work for me just fine.
