How do you stop Firefox from using data in background?

Postby kat82 » 17 Sep 2023, 10:37

This browser appears to be using my internet bandwidth without my approval. Asking if anyone knows how to stop this.

Is this happening when you have the Firefox browser closed? How do you know it is happening?

If you are in Windows you could look at what applications are running, in task manager - access it by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc. You can also shut down applications and processes from there.

On Android, I just go to the apps section on settings and force stop it so that it doesn't run in the background.
