The first dog to compete in a fast-paced video game

Postby mrki444 » 19 Oct 2023, 19:45

Speedrunning is a gaming competition in the fast passage of the game. The player must pass all levels of the game as soon as possible.
At AGDQ 2024, for the first time, there will be a Dog Assistance category in which a dog will participate in a fast-paced game.
Peanut Butter will be the first dog speedrunner to the competition, and he will play the game Gyromite from the NES console.
Of course, the console is suitable for dogs, so it has large buttons.
The owner will instruct the dog how to play, and the dog is in charge of control.
So far, he is the only one registered in this category.

It is really great to see contests becoming more inclusive so that people with difficulties can also participate. It must be one smart dog, if it can take instructions from its owner, to play a video game. Sounds like he will win the category.

It does not have to be somebody with difficulties. Anyone who has a dog who can be controled can be part of this category.
Here is trailer video.

Really nice, that means the dogs who participate has to have a very high level of training to be able to play it.

Wow. That is awesome. I love dogs! I wish my dog could play it, but I know he will have a difficult time. But, a highly intelligent/trained dog can do it, for sure.

I guess he is well trained to do that. That's the power of training your pets.
