We have been hearing about a US government concern over TikTok security issues for quite some time. Just now received a news article about a TikTok shut down coming January 19 if the site is not sold before then. 170 million US users affected.

A friend of mine said she's looking forward to the ban because it will be interesting to see what social media looks like when not dominated by Americans. I'm not a Tik Tok user but I thought that was a good point.

I love how that makes the whole exercise pointless. They're like,' I'm not allowed to have my data stolen by the Chinese govenrment? Well in response I'll have it stolen even more!'
