Difficulty

What difficulty setting do you typically choose when starting a game?

I usually start off by picking the normal/medium difficulty. After I complete the game on that difficulty, I move up to the hardest difficulty. That is if the game has replay value.

I start from the very beginning does a tutorial count in this sense? If I am really into the game I would love to experience every phase and level of it.
