I can not work efficiently without a mouse. I do not have a better control of the trackpad and I find it hard working without a mouse. But lately, I had to do with what I have which is just the trackpad. I am getting the hang of it but not enjoying it and I feel the sluggishness of my fingers. How about you guys?

Mouse of course. I can work faster with it and have more control. I always plug my mouse into laptop. I'm actually quite good with a touchpad too despite hating to use it. We used to have laptops in IT class in school but no mice and we played shooter games during breaks so I can do fast headshots even with the pad.

I still prefer the mouse. I can navigate the arrow using the trackpad but find it hard to select a specific item using it. It is difficult for me to make clicks with the trackpad so mouse still does the job for me in that area.

Mouse. I can work effectively and efficiently with mouse. I can use track pad but it is not good to use when I will be copy pasting words from site to site. I am not used to it. I can use it when there is no mouse available but I cannot stay long using the laptop itself without a mouse.

Trackpad is slow. I'm always prefer to use mouse specially in editing photos in photoshop and gaming..

Is a trackpad the built in mouse on a laptop? if so I hate those. I bought a mouse to use with my laptop to make things easier. I found the other thing to slow and annoying to use.

It's much easier to work with a mouse than to work with a trackpad...there are some instances in which a trackpad has limitations and that can be quite inconveniencing..I love playing games so a track pad for most of the games just doesn't cut it.

For me it's much comfortable and easier using a mouse, exept when I somewhere outside my home. I don't playing games anymore but I can't imagine to use trackpad for that.

I have great difficulty using the track pad. That's why when I use a laptop, I bring a mouse to connect to it. The mouse is the standard and I believe will remain to be standard pointing tool for a long time.

There's no doubt about it because a track pad is sometimes slow especially if the laptop is already old. There is something with the mouse that is easier to use but if you really want to control online games o racing games then you should buy a controller.

If you mean a touch pad, I also don't prefer using it. Reason? Its slower to use a touch pad than a mouse. Secondly, using the touch pad forces me to place my hands together in a slouching position for long periods. I find this position exhausting.

When I am using a laptop I prefer a mouse, I found it more easily to control, but in my iPad I use my fingers.

That depends on what I am doing. For clicking ads on Clixsense, I prefer a touch screen and a close tab plugin for Firefox, which provides much better speed and accuracy than a mouse or touchpad either one.
