Canon or Nikon?

Postby lightning18 » 20 Jul 2015, 12:03

Which one do you think is better? Which is easier to use? Which has the better image output? Which is for professional photography and which is for the amateur photographer? I have a Canon 7D and I can say that I prefer Canon over the yellowish images of Nikon.

Camera manufacturers leapfrog each other with each new generation of cameras, both make excellent camera systems.

All my cameras are Canon. The first one I purchased in 2005. When it developed a problem with the lens, I bought another one. The third one is a prize I won in a photography contest.

I do not have my own camera but all of my friends are using Canon and its delighting them always :D . Canon is durable, it can last up to 10 years plus the quality of pictures are good.

Canon vs. Nikon is one of the most common arguments in photography, and in my opinion, there's a lot to be said for both.

This won't help you much, but I say bother, I have Canon, my daughter has Nikon, they both are equally good. Depending on how much you will use it , each camera can perform differently , like with anything else. I would make list of what you want out of it, and what can do .

I agree that they are equally good. But in my experience with Canon, it doesn't last long because I already have 3 Canon, the second 1 gave up already and the 1st one is still okay but quite outdated. The 3rd which is the youngest is already showing symptoms of disorder.

I hve a Nikon point and shoot because a camera has to be very basic for me. It takes good pictures although I use my phone more often than not as it is always with me. I still think it's nice to have a separate camera though and you can get a decent one quite cheaply.

I'd suggest you to include Olympus and Sony there. The first has a nice price/quality ratio, and Sony has brought new hi-quality tech to the cameras.

Honestly, I think both are great because depending on the type of service you will execute a template or other is very specific to that particular goal. Anyway, unfortunately I'm on the fence. I can not indicate better than the other.

I have a Canon now, so I'd vote for Canon. My dream camera would be a Canon EOS 5D Mark III. Sometime I want to go through an issue of Outdoor Photographer magazine, and count how many photographs were done with Canon cameras, and how many with Nikon. I think Canon would win.

I've notice the difference in opinion.. but 'll try to explain the difference.
It really depends on the use of your camera..
If your aiming for professional use (buying separate lens, accessories etc) then all the professionals would and will tell you to take a Nikkon.

If your aiming for casual use and a slight professional taste, then I would suggest some of the Canon cameras as they also have some that have separate lens accessories but have mostly automatic features.

If your aiming for casual use.. Olympus or even Sony can be great options in terms of price wise.. In all if your casually using your camera, you really don't need something that costly and go for the simpler versions of Cannon, Sony or Olympus since they have high megapixels as well as automatic features. If your learning to be a professional photographer, go for the more sophisticated Canons, but if your aiming full out professional, it could be very costly but Nikon is the way to go.
