Hi Friends,

Two days back I have lost all my incoming and out going messages from my WhatsUp application on my smartphone. To that effect I lost some phone numbers also which I have not saved them. I have tried to retrieve my old messages and phone numbers but I could. Can you guide me how to retrieve my old messages and phone calls I have received in whats Up since 3 months.

Do you mean WhatsApp? If not, I won't be able to help you. But if you did in fact try to refer to WhatsApp there are a few guidelines that you can follow. It depends on which phone you are using.

Did you attempt to uninstall and reinstall the app? Apparently there's a "restore" option: https://www.whatsapp.com/faq/android/20887921.

I don't think the OP have ever read the replies in this topic after creating it... It would be nice to know if he was able to solve his problem. Taking into account that the problem really existed...

Well at least it was useful for me. I didn't know it was possible to recover Whatsapp messages. Google was my friend.
I hope this information is useful for people with a similar issue.

Wow, that's useful to know, because I too didn't know. It's something handy to know for future reference, so thanks for posting, guys I was actually about to say I'm not sure what's going on with whatsapp these days, it seems to have gone very quiet. I haven't received a single message in say 2 months. Or is it just a case people not using it as much?? i've also noticed that it sometimes takes ages for my messages to reach people!

So you lost your contact on the whatsapp not on your phone contacts? Doesn't it register on the application just like when you are using viber. The only way to delete a number from your contact is by deleting them on your phone.
