Facebook is good to share links to blog postings on. Friends there have been very supportive in times of crisis, such as when my cat was torn apart by a dog and after an online dating experience went horribly for me. It isn't good financially but it is good for finding out about live events and getting party invites.

The way I see Facebook is more like a tool to work and to keep in touch with friends and family. I don't use it to find events neither to play, just a matter of fact sometimes I even get bored with it. Facebook is like a pub where everyone goes, if you want to find someone for sure he/she is there and that's why I use this platform.
