You can use phone's internet on your laptop or other devices.
In order to use your phone as wife hotspot, you have to activate mobile hotspot on your phone. Go to tethering and mobile hotspot in the setting, tap on mobile hotspot and set the user name and password. Turn on the mobile data and then mobile hotspot,now your phone has turned into a modem and the phone data has turned to a wifi.

i don't use mobile hotspot as i am using 2G plan on my mobile which is very slow. but yes, this can be used as an option in emergency.

Well, If you have laptop with WiFi driver than you can share your internet on your mobile too.
Well am doing it. And if you do this make sure not to use any soft cuz sometime's that cuz problem on you WiFi adapter
