I think I read that the iphone is less likely to get a virus than an android phone although it is possible and more likely if it is jailbroken. I run malwarebytes on all the phones I buy and I've never had a problem.

chances are very less compared to android phones as iphones don't have bluetooth for file transfers...that means chances of virus entering through downloaded files is negligible.

They say the ios 9 is the most secured ios right now so it's actually less like that it will get a virus. It won't show that it has a virus but the hackers are targetting these devices because they see it as a challenge.

It is possible. Even though Apple has a controlled app store, it happened to have apps build with compromised code. You can check further info googling for
XcodeGhost
. The info is way too long to expose here.

No operating system is safe. However, iPhone is less likely to be affected from virus and malware compared to Android phone and other operating systems. Since file transfer on iPhone is only possible with iOS device and Apple store is more secured, iPhone is safe compared to other operating systems.

Yes it is, last month Reuters published an article about that. Seems someone created a Malware for the iOS and Apple made a statement about it. You can read the whole article here: http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/09/ ... ZB20150921

Thanks for sharing! I always thought that iOS is pretty safe since there are not many hackers/virus makers who are interested to infect iOS devices such as iPhones. I guess times are changing!

Yes, anything is possible, there is a way for almost anything to get a virus, if you can find protection for the phone, I would say take it.

It is impossible to not get a virus or malware to any operating system that has internet. The good news is that it can be hard to add it to your phone or a method has not been found yet.
