How stable is your internet connection?

Postby Happyland » 28 Sep 2015, 04:36

An unsteady internet connection is an annoying problem. It will cause downtime from using the internet and especially working on your earning sites, social networks, news sites and games. Hopefully in the near future it will be more steady for everyone.

Mine is really stable. I can only remember it being interrupted once in the last 8 years due to a network provider problem. I have had times when I couldn't get on the internet for a very short while. Switching my computer on and off usually sorts that out.

Luckily, I don't have problems with my internet connection. With this new provider everything works perfectly. Bt the provider before this one was terrible and mch more expensive than this one. Luckily, this new provider managed to take over of some parts of the town and a lot of people are using it.

Mine can be highly unreliable! I'm actually looking to go with another provider once my 2 year contract lapses. It's too up and down for my liking, and the provider is rubbish at communicating, so that make me angrier. Today is one of those days where it's a bit slow. Add to that the occasional power cuts and the whole thing sucks!

Now years have gone by since I had almost dauly network hiccups/failures. Now an occasional technical issue (about twice/year) in my area of living can cause a downtime, but usually the company can fix it in a couple of hours.

Our internet connection is unpredictable. No one can predict when it will work and when it will go off. When contacted customer service will always say maintainance . When we complaint the matter with helpdesk or customer care , they do not bother to respond . Unable to switch on to another service provider as they say that they will connection to only apartments and not individual houses

Mine is stable all day except when it is weekend. I live in a dorm that offers free internet/wifi. Every weekend, it is slow because there are many users connecting to the wifi.

my internet connection is not stable. The connection slows speed or discontinue once in a while. Therefore, I have two different connection from two different ISP. When one goes down I begin to use another. I am using CDMA and Mobile Broadband.

i am using 4G connection which is pretty fast and stable. the only problem is that the high speed tends to be consumed very fast and then the speed goes slow. i have changed rate plans thrice. now i am using 25 GB of high speed plan per month.

mine is not stable, during the day it can't connect, had to wait 30 minutes to connect but sometimes the whole day not connected either. During the night, the line is better and faster

There are several reasons for a bad internet connection, some are physical other are just due to Malware in your PC. If you have ADSL then you should check your internet speed and check with the ISP if it is a question of the phone line not supporting more speed due to the distance your house is from the central. If you have a cable of fiber connection they should be more stable and most of the times the problem is in the users PC, unless the central is overloaded which is something you should check with your ISP.

As for me I have 100 Mbps fiber connection and in one year it only failed once for 1 hour or so. I had ADSL before and I remember it was very bad :(.

I guess the difference between fiber connections and ADSL is quite visible. In Portugal ADSL implementation was made on top of some old comm infrastructures that were old and ill mantained, which brought to light problems in those places.

I would say this one is pretty stable, unless bad rain going on, I notice that is the time not stable then I don't stay online anyway. Nothing worse than an unstable internet connection, can be most frustrating.

My connection is pretty stable. I don't ever disconnect... even if there's a typhoon outside. Best of all is my internet is free because it comes with the apartment I'm renting.

My Internet connection is actually fairly decent now. It didn't used to be. I remember a time when turning on certain appliances, especially the microwave, could disrupt the connection, lol.
