Hello friends, now a days my PC has a problem and that is whenever i push my modem it shows a notificatuion and close the program automatically. My laptop has warranty and i decide to bring it to the showroom and need windows update as they suggest me on my phone. should i take online windows update before trying anything else?

It is always a good idea to do Windows updates to keep your operating system secure. However, I don't think that the problem you're experiencing is due to being behind on updates. What programs are you having close automatically on you?

put windows update on automatic download then go through them and load the important ones. im not sure the problem you are having but you should always search online to see if others had the same issues and find solutions

Yes, you definitely want to enable Windows Update. That's the only way your computer will stay updated and protected. If you don't update, it's possible that some of your programs won't work in the future.

I don't know a lot about computers but I have always understood that the updates are important to keep it secure so I would definitely allow the update to run.

it is always important to update your computer operating system.
by not doing so, you are prone to have more computer issues since these updates help patch problems or block issues/hacks/script errors etc.

Hmmm are you talking about an internal modem or external one? If it is an external modem like an Adsl modem you can always unistall the modem and reinstall it again, normally that solves de problem without the need of updating windows. Anyway to help you I need more information about the operating system and the modem you are using.
