What are the concerns of using a free vpn service vs. pay?

Postby Happyland » 19 Oct 2015, 14:24

Do you know of any good free vpn services? How does a free vpn company earn its money to stay in business? Is free really free or is there something the customer would be giving up in return for free? Two concerns would be what would the free service do with the data going across its tunnels? (Are there ironically privacy concerns) Would the transfer speeds of data going up and down on a free vpn network be noticeably slower for users? Would you rather pay for a vpn service? It seems like no matter if it is free or paid, either way there would be some kind of cost. Please share your insight.

Nothing is really free in this world, not even the water anymore. Free VPNs Companies make money from third party advertisers who will pimp their ads through your proxy server session. Free VPNs companies makes money either based on the number of clicks those adverts attract or simply through the number of impressions generated. Some of this companies are also run by cyber criminals who offer the free service just to steal your personal information and other type of data to sell to third parties.

If you need to use a VPN service please do a favor to yourself and use a Paid one, you only have to win with that, you will get a better bandwidth, security and your privacy protected.
