Opinions on Firefox Browser

Postby sprite1950 » 22 Oct 2015, 07:44

I have used Chrome for years but I am thinking of joining a site which insists on Firefox. I'm not sure about it so if anyone uses this browser I would love some opinions on it.

Both browsers have now a similar look and behaviour. The add-on offer is also rich for both, usually cross browser. I guess you won't feel anything. Oh, just remember that firefox now blocks flash as by default.

Good work

I use Firefox every day and have no problems with it. Most of my Internet browsing is from a computer that runs PCLinuxOS to protect me from getting infected with spyware or viruses and Firefox is kept currently updated automatically for me, but Chrome is only available as Chromium and not as fresh.

I use several browsers depending of what I do, at the moment I have Chrome, Comodo Ice Dragon and Epic Browser, I don't have Firefox because Comodo Ice Dragon is Firefox based.

Firefox is an open source browser with very similar features to Chrome. Maybe Firefox wins in the amount of extensions and plugins which I consider much better than the ones Chrome offers. Firefox is also faster because it does need as many resources as Chrome. So mainly the differences between both browsers are few, passing from Chrome to Firefox is not a problem to most users.

What I don't like in both browsers is the privacy, that's why I use Comodo Ice Dragon which is a faster and secure version on Firefox.

I use firefox when I need to run multiple websites at different tabs at the same time! I find it a lot faster than IE.

I replaced Firefox and used Chrome now since Chrome is more faster for me and I experienced a lot of trouble with Firefox before.

I have used it before and it feels like foreever now. I loved Moziila and I still have it installed on my computer but I am not using it. It took me a lot of time to start using Google Chrome. I didn't like it from the beginning. thumbs up for Mozilla.

Well there is not much difference. Firefox has been around for many years and is a highly regarded browser. I was using it since I started using internet.

Firefox has been my main browser for years. It acts up sometimes, especially when they want me to update. (which I think is very underhanded.) also, certain updates will make it nearly unusable for many websites. Overall though, it's faster than Chrome, and usually doesn't give me as many problems as Chrome does.

Those popups are not coming from your browser, you have spyware.

Re: Opinions on Firefox Browser

I think I have a mixed opinion on Firefox browser. Firefox and Chrome uses different engine's in their core, and they are the top browser's available today. Here are some comparison between those two that I think:

1. Do you want cleaner look or more customization?
Cleaner look = Chrome
More Customization = Firefox

2.Do you frequently use HTML5?
Yes = Chrome
No = Firefox

3. Do you sync your bookmarks, history and such to another computer frequently?
Yes = Chrome

4. Do you want more privacy?
Yes = Firefox
No = Chrome

These may help you in choosing your browser. Forgive me if I said something wrong.

It's simple to sync Firefox bookmarks. Just save them to a file and read them into any other device that uses Firefox.
