I really like to see youtube videos and I follow some people that I like, especially vlogs about trips and games.
What I notice is that some youtubers are adored like celebrities and I think they are treated by some users like celebrities.

Do you think that they are real celebrities or just ordinary people? Why?

I watch the musical concert of the famous Carnatic vocal musician Smt. MS. Subbalakshmi . She inspired me a lot by her simplicity, divine looks, and amazing voice which attracts a huge crowds . She is treated like a celebrity and indeed she is so.

Well , the little girl that was on you tube, her mother posted it, the child cried when the mom told her Adam Levine got married. A lot of people saw it, and it made it to Adams fb page, and it made to the Ellen show. Most people saw this cute 3 year old, but I don't think she had a clue who he was to be honest with you. She was able to meet him but was scared and cried, I think the mom was the one who was more excited about meeting him.

She has had a lot of media attention, so it is like she is a little celebrity. I don't see them as celebrities, I Just see it as someone who was lucky a video went viral.

No I don't think they are celebrities neither I treat them like that. Like Vens I see celebrities like ordinary people, some of them don't even like to be famous. I also follow some channels on youtube mostly gaming channels or about science .

Most celebrities have a following. Followings can come from a multitude of places including what is drummed up in a conference room by their agents. Hype is everywhere such as sports, boxing, superbowl and the ads and even those running for office. This leads to more dollars. Youtube celebrities are celebrities too--within the youtube space. They drum up a following from various sources too. It seems that they offer something of value to someone and that celebrity status or that value gets monetized. Youtube is a powerful tool for the new economy. There are millions, if not a billion, videos available on that platform that reaches almost every corner of the planet. Google makes a ton of money from Youtube. Google needs celebrities and content. Whether on mobile or not Google needs celebrities and they know how to monetize the mobile side and the non mobile.

they are ordinary people who have make it big due to their creativity and out of box thinking. and of course, they are earning good money for it too!
