Are you on a limited internet plan ? if you are, then you must try out this wonderful data saver by google

Chrome will use Google servers to compress pages you visit before downloading them. SSL and incognito pages will not be included.

I have started using it since I moved to India has I have limited data plan here I have been using it and It has been useful to save some MBs and save some money too.

I have unlimited data on my home Internet service, but I wonder if this could be beneficial for my smartphone? I do use Chrome there.

I see it's just turning on a switch to try it, so I did. I don't use data a lot since I am usually on my home Wi-Fi, but it might even help with that. I also notice it includes safe browsing to avoid malware.

I have limited data with my satellite internet plan, so check this out. Does it make Chrome run slower?

@Raess I am pressing the button now! Thanks for sharing. It's a life saver for me as I survive on data! I do use chrome on cell but I also sometime use IE.

Update

** Call me dumb but my phone was already using this service without my knowledge. No wonder they are called smartphones!

That is a good news and I wish it was available way before this. I am now on unlimited internet and unlimited data with my phone, so I am fine for now. This will help lots of people who are having limited data.

Thanks for sharing this, and I will send out the link to my friends who are on limited data.
