Arcade game of the 80's and 90's

Postby Gaarabae » 07 Nov 2015, 02:51

The Arcade video games of the 80' and 90's are a far cry from the digital advances of this generation but they were very cool back then and everyone from those decades had fond memories playing which are your favorites? personally I like the Mario Brothers and Pac man arcade games. they sure can kill a lot of time. :D

I never did play games in the arcades much. When I was old enough to start playing games the Super Nintendo was at its hight. I loved the Super Mario World, and Donkey Kong Country games. I played a lot of RPGs like Final Fantasy and Breath of Fire too.

I loved Space Invaders. I had a game similar to it that I would play on the Vic20 at home (I think it was called Gorf?) which I got pretty good at playing.

I always wanted to play TRON, but it cost 2 tokens and I could never get past the first screen!

My favorite arcade games of the 90s were Street Fighter II , Double Dragon , The Simpsons , Vendeeta , Golden Axe, Ghouls'n Ghosts and Final Fight . I spent all my money and all afternoon playing these wonderful classics of the decade of 90. Good times . :P

I loved arcade games, I remember to be able to finish Sould Edge playing with Sophitia and Siegfried. That game was really good but there were others that caught my attention like Pac Man, Arkanoid, Astro Fighter, Commando and Cosmic monters. By then those games were amazing and we spent hours playing them. Now you look at them and think Jesus how did I spend so much time playing them.

i'm sure you didnt mean your comment to come off sounding the way it did, who is to say he isnt earning offline plus no one is online 24/7 trying to earn even you have your things you do for entertainment in your leisure time. the old arcade games some did transition to the home consoles like pac-man and donkey kong and mario by Nintendo and atari.

I loved to play Pac-Man at restaurants. And Rampage was great and the X-Men. My cousin had an Atari and I loved to play Pong and Q-Bert and Donkey-Kong on it.

I spent a lot of time playing arcade fighting games that were oddly in a local gym. Virtua Fighter 2 was my favorite but I played quite a bit of King of Fighters and some Street Fighter 2

I didn't spend too much time playing arcade games but I enjoyed pacman, mario, mortal kombat - oh they were so cool back then! The graphics are incomparable to how video games are these days, but life was simple back then anyway :)
