Do you think google will make phones (the hardware) again? There is some chatter about this taking place. It seems odd they would buy Motorola for $13billion and then sell it to Lenovo for $3billion and now there is talk of them getting back into the business. Perhaps there is an opening of daylight to compete against Apple?

I sure hope not. I still have a G1 from Google in a drawer, because it's so worthless no one wants it. I believe it was one of the first smartphones around, so I keep it for it's collectable value and maybe some day I will find someone dying to get their hands on it.

I always wonder about Google's ventures, like this attempt to capture the smartphone business. I have read bad reviews on their phones. if they can't make a decent phone who will buy the self driving car they plan to make

I almost doubt it, there are so many good phones out there, I can't imagine, why they would want to compete. I can't see it being successful unless it is something really great, better than we have out there now.
