Li-Fi will replace Wi-Fi

Postby ksridharprasad » 25 Nov 2015, 19:23

Hi friends,

A new technology which is faster than Wi-Fi that is called LI-Fi the Li-Fi works on LED bulbs, but it works with in the range of LED beam light in the room. But this is more more faster than the WI-Fi and blue tooth technology the Li-Fi was invented in 2011 itself still it is in processing mode soon we may enter in to the market.

Funny my partner was telling me that this afternoon and I was very curious about it. Thank you for the explanation.
I wonder if we will have the problems as with wi-fi. For instance my wi-fi connection doesn't work well in all the living rooms, my tablet for instance can't get wi-fi signal in any place of the house but the tablet works just fine with other wi-fi networks. I am also curious about the price of this new technology and if the internet service providers will include it in the new service installations.

There is no end to advancements in technology. That's how they keep us spending more money.

I just heard about this yesterday through a friend. It sounds amazing and the speeds sound godly, lol. I'll be looking forward to the launch of LiFi

I was wondering on how some people will exploit such a technology like that, we soon shall see in the future, but it is indeed a brilliant thing to incorporate together with the existing Wifi in our devices and modems/router so that it can further give the customer a wide range of options in their Internet connectivity and security as well.

Let's wait for this advancement in technology and try how effective it is when compared to wifi.

Are you sure? They cannot penetrate walls and when they demonstrated it in 2012, it had a rage of 10meters.

Our inventions are becoming way to good, communicating over light (the fastest element) with such a speed is hard to imagine.

New technologies are always welcome but let it be introduced in the markets. We will find out about the difference between Wi -Fi and Li-Fi. If the new technology is more effective and convenient compared with Wi-Fi then We can opt for it . We should also know about its pros and cons and its range . Currently we are having wi-fi and we can able to access the net from any room whether in the ground floor or the first floor of my house

They cannot penetrate walls, but I heard you can get LiFi off of LED lights. So as long as you have a light on, you can use LiFi.

When Li-Fi is released to the general public it will most likely be expensive. Typically when something new is introduced it is pricey in the beginning. Li-Fi sounds better than Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is kind of old technology at this point. It is time to change to something better.

I think you would have to have led lightbulbs to use it. I really like wifi and I don't want it to be replaced.

Don't ever turn your back on new technology until you fully understand it. We would still be walking around swinging clubs if everyone did that.

in how many years will this li-fi be perfected and will it be better than wi-fi, old technology gets replaced with new technology when its better and convenient. if li-fi isnt a lot better than wi-fi it will not catch on and just join the list of failed attempts at creating new things.

We just need to wait and see. I know I still have a couple of DSL modems in my junk box that were in high demand when I got them, but you can't give one away now.

There will always be improvement with technology, once it stops we will be in big trouble, as we won't keep moving forward. Never heard of this, but would like to hear more on this one.
