UsabilityHub

Postby WorkAtHomeGal » 17 Dec 2015, 03:54

Hello friends I wanted to share a website I found while researching Reddit. It is a cool little side earner, don't expect much but money is money for easy work. You get paid to do usability type testing. These test are usually 1 minute or less to do. You get paid 1 point per test each point is equal to $0.10 cents. The only payment method is Paypal and once you reach $20.00 you can request payout. It will take some time to get paid since they do QA on your test to make sure your meeting their standard. I joined late yesterday morning and made $0.60 cents and today I have earned $1.40 so far. I just keep the page open and refresh it to see what test I can do.

I checked and I hardly understand it. The rate is good though. But I do hope it is open to international users.

Hi Friends,

This is first time I am knowing about this UsabilityHub site, I do not know what test they are conducting. I am doubting that I may qualify for this site. But this site says they prefer ordinary people than the technical people. So I am thinking I may be eligible, it is better to enter in to the site what ever it may be if my luck is there I too earn some money in this site.

Thanks for sharing, @WorkAtHomeGal :) It looks like you've got off to a good start, even though it seems to pay a little less than some of the other user testing sites I've seen around. I've been wanting to try my hand at this sort of thing, but currently struggle for time :(

Yes it is but keep in mind their only payment option is Paypal so if you are in a country that doesn't have Paypal then you won't be able to get paid. I am not sure if they are adding other payment processors at this time.

Ah the test are very easy. For instance the "preference Test" is the easiest I think. The test will show you 2 designs and you just click the one you prefer. Some test require you to answer a few questions but its very easy work, 1 minute or less per test I think.

The test are quite simple. They range from picking a design to seeing a page for 5 seconds then answering some questions to clicking where you think something is done, etc. Before each test it does briefly explain a bit what you are to be doing. As I mentioned it does appear to be International but their only payment option is Paypal I assume this could be an issue for some people.

It is not like sites like Usertesting where your voice is recorded while you do the test, it is a lot different. These are much quicker and easier. It looks like they just want regular people for these test. They don't take long at all you should check it out if you can.

Yes I know the 5 second test always have questions for you to do. So that could be the longest test of all, out of all of them I think. On the 5 second test since you are answering questions I don't think you need a super long answer.

This site is good because they want feedback form ordinary users and not from web designers or programmers. Considering the user's perspective is the right approach because afterall they are the ones who will interact with the site once it goes live. Gathering analytics from them is key.

It's free, so what do you have to lose? I joined last night and the only problem I see is finding enough jobs to make any real money. I keep bringing the site up and so far have only made 40 cents in about 24 hours. Most of that was just refreshing the page looking for chances to earn.

I finally just added it to my home page from Start.io and it's easy to click for a look every time I pass by.

I know it is a slow earner so I am sorry if that dissapoints some people but it was one worth sharing. The way I see it I can do other work while refreshing the page for test every so often. I've been a member for 4 days, today is day 4. My earnings are up to $3.90. Not amazing but if I can keep doing these test each day I think I can get my first cash out before January I hope. We shall see.

DreekLass - Ah thanks! I am glad my Youtube channel helped you find some opportunities :)

I joined yesterday and I am up to 90 cents. What I did is add it to my Start.io home page, so I can give it a quick click every time I see it, then I don't need to leave the tab open.

That is a good idea. I just leave the tab open but that may work better. Then again when I am working I am known to have 20 pages open.

To update everyone so far today I have earned $1.40 bringing my total earnings to $4.50

There is a mis match between the payment between per task and cash out threshold. If one task will earn 10 cents it will take a lot of time to reach $20.

I joined and got one task yesterday which only took around 20 secs to complete. $.10 was credited to my Usability account. I think the opportuities are very limited , but the pay rate is very good.
