The worst thing about Chatabout is they have a lot of rules that aren't actually written on the FAQ. These rules were added in by the admin... they made an announcement about it on the site but the site has grown so much that the announcement has fallen off the page. Most of the accounts that were deleted broke some rule that they didn't know existed, such as posting multiple times in a row on a single topic or talking about their daily goal.

They definitely need better communication. I wasn't aware of any of this. I don't really blame them for telling people to stop that kind of thing though. I used to see people making multiple posts about their goal, just to get points. I don't mind once, but then add something new to the conversation, ya know?

t took me about 1.5 week to cash out $5, which is actually good for me. I am planning to write more posts (as a post = 100 points), then I might be able to cash out weekly.
I have read some members got paid twice a week.
I guess for those who can do offers and surveys will reach the cash out even much faster, but I usually don't get to do any of them.

I'd suggest you to cash out as soon as you can, as I have read many negative comments that some members got banned when they were trying to cash out. I do not know whether these members have broken any rules and hence they were banned, but to be safe, I just cash out as soon as I reach 1000 points. Moreover, we do not earn more for redeeming more points, like how blogjob does, so I think it's okay to just redeem at 1000 points for $5. This is just my opinion.

You can go to Post section, then click on add a post. This link is actually very small, just below the "Newest" selection. You'll see the rules after clicking on the "add a post" link, but they didn't state how many words it should be.

You can also write articles for each topic. When you go to the Topic section, click on any of the topics, you'll see All Comments, Top Comments and Read Article tab. Click on the Article tab, you will see Write an Article button. The rules are shown after clicking on the Write and Article button too, it needs to be 400+ words. If I am not mistaken, the earning is 30 points per article. I have no idea why the pay rate for article is so much lower than the post, even though the number of words required by article is more.

I actually haven't been writing post for quite some time, after my 4th post was rejected. I just do not know what requirements of a post they are expecting.

Congrats on getting paid by chatabout! I learned of the site at a latter time on my online job hunting and was already quite busy. Not to mention that I have been reading mixed reviews about the site. But glad it is working for you nicely

Thanks. I was only working in mylot previously, then I found forumcoin, and from here, I found chatabout. So, I still have some "space" to allocate some more opportunities. I am yet to explore more, but at the moment I am quite tied up with my freelance projects too.

I hope the site is still working by the time I have some "space" to register and login! I'd probably use this as a site in case I have to "replace" Blogjob - but I hope I won't have to go there!

I think I will follow your advice and cash out, I will do it today. Let's see how it is with me.
If I receive this first payment I try to make some more posts daily.

Me too. I requested cash out last Friday, and I haven't receive any payment yet. It used to be very fast payment. Well, I am still able to login to the site, that means I am not banned.

I guess it's good to check out other sites when BlogJob is on a temporarily vacation. I am now busy at LiteracyBase. The rate for chatabout is fixed, so you are very sure how much you are earning per comment. As in LB, we can't really be sure as it's based on the quantity & quality of the post. But, I learn more from LB, perhaps the topics discussed in these two sites are different.

I have 700 points there and I know I will able to meet 1000 points after 6 days if I will start posting now. Do i need to continue or not? I am discourage by your no payment issue.

I have got paid 5 times, and every time it's within 2 days, and there was once within just a few hours. I am not sure if it's because of the weekend, but it's already Tuesday there, and still no news for the payment yet.

I am not sure if you should continue, I'll update you once I got the payment.

By the way, today is Double Point Tuesday, I think I'll still earn some double points there. Since I still can login to the site, I assume it's fine.

Hi sissy, I'd just like to let you know I have received my payment from chatabout 6 hours ago. They paid!
So, hopefully this encourages you to continue writing in chatabout. Take the advantage of today, as it's double point Tuesday, it's easier for you to earn a little bit more!

I always try to earn the 6 bonus points (from Daily Poll & Path) every day, even though I do not feel like commenting there. Yes, I think it's good to take advantage of Double Point Tuesday, it helps to earn faster.

@chikitta how did you know you were removed, what message did you get?

Were you trying to log in through Facebook? I've heard that sometimes there are issues in doing so. If so, maybe try to log in directly. Good luck.

I have never tried to log in through Facebook, I always do it directly, but since I requested my first payment I wasn't able to login again and I always get tha same message. I try to contact them but I haven't an answer yet...
