Re: Receive payment from Mylot

Why not let it be $5? What I mean is the earning. We also recommended before to have the payment automatic. There was a thread before about that. Every month once a member reached $5 automatic they will receive it on the 15th of the month, but of course, that was before, and it was never implemented.

Please, explain how you make money there, in detail.

I am not too sure how the earning rate is calculated, but according to the FAQ, we earn by our participation. It's still the same, we start our discussions, and respond to others'.

I have read that actually it's the original owners of the site came back to mylot and they decided to start paying again.

I actually do not really know or remember what the differences are between the old and new mylot, some members said it's easier to earn in the old mylot. I am not sure if it's because there are less active members now.

Quoted the FAQ here for your reference:

How do I earn money exactly?
- It's simple... Just participate! Any time you start a discussion, respond to a discussion, or comment in a discussion, you are making a contribution that is eligible for earnings.

How much can I earn with each discussion, response or comment?
- This all depends on how interesting and valuable the myLot community considers it. The more that other myLot users interact with what you post, the more money it will make. If no one reads what you wrote, interacts with it, or otherwise considers it interesting, then you likely won't earn anything.

The payment in mylot is made automatically. When we reach the minimum payout by end of the month, we'll get our payment on or before 15th of the next month. It's always been like this, and it still is now.

I don't know why, mylot is a place where I can be really addictive to. I can just sit down and keep reading and writing, though I know the earning is very low, perhaps it's because there are no limits there, and there are just many topics that interest me, and I don't really treat it as a making money site only.

i was hoping since I reached the special 1.00 payout level they would send me a payment but the way things sound I may have been too late I'm unsure. I sent a message to administration and it seemed like I would get paypal but this month only has one week left

Do you currently have any balance amount in mylot? You might still be able to make it if you have some earnings there, or if you spend more time there. ;)

Thanks, Kaka. I know the idea of it, but I don't seem to make anything even when I participate. I don't think you get anything for making a post/article there. It seems like it only pays if you comment or if people comment on your posts. If they don't, even if you do on many of theirs, you're out of luck. Unless I'm confused... which is always possible.

Well done on your payment, @Kris :) I had to give up on MyLot seeing as I have another slow earner along those lines; ChatAbout. In the end it came down to which site I enjoy more and where I feel most at home. And ChatAbout won hands down :) Plus at ChatAbout I can see my money adding up, it's very open and fair, as slow of an earner as it is.

I definitely prefer a more "transparent" system. The convoluted earning systems are just discouraging to me. I guess they may be necessary on some sites to keep being able to pay out, but I find it leaves me lacking motivation to participate. I like to see those numbers going up.

I am happy to say that automatically on 10th of this month Mylot sent me the payment of $10.64 US dollars to my Paypal account. As I have already said you that I am not able to attach any proof of payment. Mylot is legit paying site and I have received several payments from Mylot previously.

You got your payment on the 10th? Huh, wonder if I'll get that lucky if I don't make by Sunday. Also Nice to know I'm not the only Mylotter here.

Nope, I don't think so. I have read some people do not start their discussions, but always respond in others, they are still making money. I also found that even when I am just responding on others' discussions, my earnings grow as well.

What I usually do are:
1. Write one or two discussions per day
2. Read and respond to others' discussions
3. Reply to the responses in my discussions

For your information, the minimum payout has been decreased to $5.

Yes, I also heard that it's not all that important to start posts as far as generating money is concerned over at MyLot. Although I can't confirm it from a personal standpoint, seeing as I never seemed to get credited LOL

Though I always spend time on mylot, I still do not have any idea how we get credited. Sometimes the earning seems to grow very slowly, but sometimes it seems like I did not post much, but the earning grows unexpectedly.
I am not sure if it depends on the ad revenue too. There are many ads in mylot.

Yes, there are a lot. They also seem to have some of the same "offers" seen elsewhere (most of which don't seem worth doing, in my opinion).

As for earning via posting, it does seem that commenting is the key. I think I'll try not making a discussion at all and just comment for a day to see what happens.

It's definitely a slow earner for me, so I haven't done much with it. I apparently need to start if other sites are closing down one after another. Someone recently told me that they were making good money there with just an hour or so a day. I honestly don't see how, but maybe they are popular there or something.

Let us know what you have found out. Sometimes I didn't do anything on mylot but I still earned something, I guess perhaps someone has left comments on my posts. That's why I think it can be a passive income sometimes.

I am not popular there, but I think if I spend some time writing by visiting others' posts, I get to earn some small money. Besides I really enjoy spending time there, it is really a trusted site as it pays all the time. Many sites have come and go, but at least mylot is still paying after so many years (except for the few years it stopped paying). Moreover, we can write really casually there. It's still my favorite site all the time.

I am not sure how we get credited, the rate on Mylot is secret up until now. There is also a rumor that it pays more on people in the US, UK and Canada compare to International members or from Asian. I haven't been visiting my revived account but I am not closing my door on the site.

After being on other sites my earnings at myLot has gone down. I have decided to get more active there not just for money but I like the interaction there having developed contacts over a period of time. In the earlier days when there were tasks I have earned good - I earned 140 dollars in one month I remember.

$140 in a month? That's pretty decent, actually. Mylot seems like a decent enough site to earn on if you put the time into it, is starting out on it hard?

kaka135 wrote:Congratulations on the payment! I read that the payment was released early this month, though it's usually on 15th.

I have joined mylot for about 10 years, and I have never missed a payment, if I am eligible to it. It doesn't require us to request for payment, as long as we reach $10 by the end of the month, we'll get paid by 15th the next month.

It's hard to say how much it takes to reach $10. We don't know how much we'll earn per post there. Some earns about $1 a day, that's considered quite a lot, I think. You'll certainly earn more if you interact a lot.

10 years? It's really a long history. But, the minimum cash out level is $5 now, right?

Has anyone received a payment in the last couple of months from My lot? Seems like the site has been taken down.
