This forum always comes back you just have to be patient for it to show up. I do like it since there is so much information on it. I have found sites from there and the community is definitely helpful.

I too posted but my counter is not moving which means I can post another 5 which I have not done. This is not good for other users as the owner's credit will go down if I keep on posting even after I have posted 5. I will write to postloop about it.

Workersonboard has been disabled again. The points went really quickly this time - only about 19 hours.

Oh no. I haven't had a chance to check today. I was hoping to have at least another day of posts on this forum. I am only 5 points away from being able to cash out on PL. It was nice to have another forum to post on since I only have SuperiorThan and that one is getting hard to make 10 posts on. Too many similar threads and I don't have an idea for a new thread. I will be keeping an eye out for notification when it comes back.

Why does this forum disabled? IS the owner facing lack of funds?

I'm not sure you grasp the point of PostLoop; it's for owners to pay for content when they want it and not to support posters points.

To be honest, I'm not sure she will add so many points if people are going to use them up so fast especially as it's summer time and forums are usually slow.

Sadly, what Lexi is saying is spot on! I remember before PL closed its doors I was a member of a couple of forums which were always low on points but a lot of people would scramble to grab their points without much consideration for others or the forums. This of course, had a ripple effect and the forums would go offline for a good while. I don't think the people who did it fully understood the connection Lexi is explaining because they'd just be concerned about the forums disappearing for extended periods of time :(

That post was written a few days ago. This site comes and goes and i believe that is how it is always with this forum. I did get to post thrice there. It will come again. Just keep looking at the forums page or if you have subscribed you will get an email from postloop.

On 13th July, I had earned some points from Workersonboard but yesterday and today, the forum is still OFFLINE with negative points. Maybe the owner is out of points.Today there are only 6 forums available

Yes the above explained reasons seems true. I am guessing this may change once the summer is going to end. More forums will open their doors and more work. I guess this and next month may go slow.

It seemed when PL was open before that Workersonboard was there more and there were fewer days in between enabled and disabled. Like others have said though this could be because of the summer. It also may be because there are fewer forums on PL to post that these points are being used up faster than normal. I know I will grab them when I see them because I really like the forum.

Maybe some people are just a little selfish? There were some like that on PL. I recall Smart Health which had 50 points a day and they would last 20-30 minutes as people scrambled to make stupid posts to get points. It was a sad sight to see. In the end the owner would stop posting topics and answered posts and asked questions to stop people posting one liners and spammy answers for the sake of points.

The bottom line is if you don't treat the forum and owner with some respect they will go and not tell you why. As I have messaged some for various reasons and some became friends they would express how annoyed they were when points were used up too quickly and that they wanted regular content not all in one go, and to have posts made even when they were offline.

The owner of WOB actually had two forums, but abandoned one of them because it was too much to moderate them both because there was so much spammy content.

* * There was a question asked at another forum about whether to publish a blog OR set up a forum. I think for right now I'm going to stick to publishing a blog. It's not easy keeping up with my blogs but it seems like maintaining my own forum would be really hard work!!

Setting up a forum is something I wouldn't even contemplate. I think it would be far too much work for one person to have to keep a watch on everything that's posted there just to ensure that members don't post plagiarised or inappropriate content.

Yes, I believe so. Actually, the forum owner should prepare sufficient funds before joining in Postloop forums.

There's definitely an element of greed there. But then as writers, we then start complaining when we don't see our favourite forums for a long time. I think it's worth getting our heads around how forums work to really appreciate the whole picture.

Now that you mention it, I remember Alicia did have another forum that had a special focus on international online leads but sadly decided to let it go. I used to like that forum too. But that's just how the online cookie crumbles, I guess :(

Oh, I'd sooner run a blog over a forum too!

I did it years ago with two other people. It was political, so not intended to make money. It was a ton of work. You have to stay on top of it all the time. In one day, one jerk can wreak havoc if someone isn't around to step in quickly. Making sure nothing inappropriate gets posted (or stays posted) is also a big job. Keeping the peace on a political forum is exhausting.

* * LOL. I don't even think the words "peace" and "politics" should be in the same sentence, much less a forum. :D
