Back To Back Posts On Threads

Postby Coolearner24 » 21 Aug 2019, 17:47

Hi Everybody!

I am a new member here who has just joined yesterday. I was reading forum rules but this particular issue was not addressed there in the rules/guidelines section, so I decided to create a thread that is related to this issue. I would like to ask that is it permissible for a member to post back to back replies in reply to a thread? I would like administrators to kindly address this issue. Thanks.

I don't know as though it is a rule so much as it is an automated feature of the forum software.

If you contribute a post and then decide to go back and add more, but before any other member has contributed another post, your content will be merged into the same post with an added header showing the different time of the added content.

As an alternative, you can simply edit the existing post to add more content, and then the edit notification appears at the bottom.

There have been times a member might click the submit button twice before the post appears and those may end up as double posts of the same content. Double posts of identical content are removed when encountered by reviewing administrators or moderators.

When we reply back to back on our own posts, our replies are merged as told by OldGuy.
Sometimes it makes the comment look very big, so my advice, based on my experience is to keep your responses short in such case.
You would get to know more when you start using the Forumcoin more.
