Important: A Question About Private Messaging

Postby Coolearner24 » 28 Sep 2019, 20:44

Hi Admins!

I have a question that is very important, and I believe that it is better to ask it here, as it is related to Forumcoins forums. I know that there is a separate section for offering forumcoins to other members for completing tasks and offering services in exchange for forumcoins, which is "Forumcoin Exchanges". I might offer Coins to other members. However, I have some questions that need to be addressed.

1) It is permissible to send private messages to other members and provide them with our offers directly?

2) In addition to posting my offers in the Forumcoin Exchange section, is it permissible to provide my offers to other members via private messages?

3) Is it permissible to send referral links to other members via private messages? I am not talking about spamming. I am talking about invitation message that consists of at least 2 sentences.

Thanks.

There is no one that can answer that except the Admin, so it should be addressed to them by private message in my opinion.

I think it is fine to send links and offers via PM to other members. But try not to overdo it and keep on flooding messages, if the other folks are not interested. Rest of the T & C can be conveyed only by the Admin.

I am sure it's not allowed to send PM about ref-links to members until they ask you for the same. In case a member reports the matter to the admin (for unwanted ref-link) your account might be in trouble. You are allowed to send PM only if you think a member is willing to receive your PM with ref-link or requests you for the same in your related post on the site.

1) Not really. If other members ask you to PM them or if they openly ask for people to contact them or if they have an issue and you think you can help them. What you can’t do if find a new earning opportunity and just send a link asking people to join and just PM users that are online, recently active or joined similar sites in the past.

2) In this case I would always say it is a no. If you have posted it, interested users will find it. Nobody likes opening their email to find loads of emails from companies do they? Likewise nobody wants to have a load of PMs here every time they log in with offers that the sender think might interest them. Imagine if every user sent 1 PM a week to every user. Think how many PMs you would get in your inbox. That is why I think it should only be used if a user expresses an interest.

3) Again depends on the context. If they ask you to PM your referral link because they want to join under you then it is fine but again speculative invites is a no. Also don't do what some users try and mention a new site and not give the name or link and force people to PM you or reply to an existing topic about a site saying if you want to join under me, enter the username “example” when signing up or PM me. That is just spamming the forum just to not spam the PM system.

Can we post our offer again in the Forumcoin Exchange section if nobody replies? Thanks.

There is a notice on the category and I believe it details how and how often you can *bump* your post, which I recently did. It's amazing how much you can find out about this forum with search and read.

What do they mean by "bumping" the post? What does "bumping" mean exactly? Does this mean we can close our offer every 24 hours? Thanks.

It means after a while you can go back and leave a comment with more information that moves it to the top of the New Posts.

Is it possible for us to close the thread and start a new thread with the same offer? I have seen many members closing the thread, but I am not sure whether it is permissible to open a thread with the similar topic we opened before. Unfortunately, the admin has not addressed this issue here. :problem:

Just bump it if it goes to far down the list. Keep reposting the same topic will not be any more beneficial and if anything would mean it would keep losing the replies/questions meaning that each version of the offer has the same questions posted to them potentially. Not too sure why you seem determined to find the borderlines between acceptable and spam but it should be kinda easy to determine it yourself.

Well, I am just concerned because I am a dedicated member of this forum who makes sure whatever I do here is acceptable. That's why I make sure to ask before I do something. I just make sure I am obeying all the rules and that was the reason why I started this thread. I hope you can understand my concerns.
