As of today's latest count, 701 (13.4%) out of the 5220 total membership roster have been banned.

Most are banned as soon as they join due to spam postings. Some are banned because they were members under some other user name who had been banned for a previous site violation but come back for another try. Some are banned as known scammers from other Internet activity. CyberFreak is very good at monitoring and spotting those violators.

Some are banned when they post referral ads in areas where those are prohibited, some end up being banned due to a volume of extreme low quality content; the list is quite extensive.

Review the FAQ pages. Follow the site rules and guidelines and strive to post quality content to stay off the banned list. It does not take much to just behave and enjoy the experience as the trash is taken out of the mix.

Just for comparison with other site statistics:
2021 (38.7%) of all registered members joined but have never posted any content.
528 (10.1%) of all registered members joined but only contributed a single post.
That total group (banned, zero and single posters) accounts for 6.2% of all site content.

There is a small group of 565 (10.8%) early members who have not been reviewed, but only account for 0.8% of all site content.

1404 (26.9%) have contributed 93% of all site content. Out of that group:

371 (7.11%) of all registered members joined, but only contributed 2 to 10 posts during their visit.
907 (17.37%) of all registered members joined and contributed 11 to 999 posts.
That entire group of 1278 members average out to just 100 posts and 7 rep points each.

126 (2.41%) of all registered members have contributed 1000 to over 17000 posts each, averaging out to 3781 posts and 351 rep points each for a total of 73.32% of all site content.

The top 10 by volume alone have contributed 19.61% of all site content.

I had seen people who got banned on their first day which is sad. Then we have the cheaters who I don't sympathize with.

Yes the latest people I saw getting banned were people who were just posting way to much
and spamming like crazy. But yes they need to know just relax and enjoy the site.

It seemed like a banned member is back under a new name. I notice that person talks like the banned person and I reported him.

I really find it very comforting that the owner here is kind and will listen and is forgiving but that doesn't mean anyone should want to face that. I enjoy doing what is right and I hope everyone will join with me. I try! Let's All Try Hard! It's rewarding.

No one ever gets banned here without a good reason. It's usually because they have tried to cheat the system in some way and if that is the case they will have no problem in trying to get back in through using a different profile. I think most forum owners are aware of this and will be on the lookout for this kind of activity.

It makes me wonder why people do that because it does catch up with you at some point! And when you have such a laid back environment here at FC, do those who attempt to cheat the system not have a conscience at all, how can they not feel guilty for their actions? I personally think it's incredibly stupid and selfish.

I have gone through few banned member's profile page to know the reason for banning them. Most of their posts contained lots of negative reputation for low quality response or single line response. May be this is also one of the reasons for banning a member.
