I spent sometime taking advantage of this new feature viewtopic.php?f=6&t=30638#p836039( see your posts in a topic)

I randomly checked and it was beyond me to know for example that I had posted 270 times in the thread
"Ban the member above you" There could be more posts in other threads and this was a random search. This thread expects users to continue posting but I would be embarrassed if I had responded countless times in threads where one response is called for.

What is your story?

It is a great feature. We work on many sites and we might get confused. So we can make some repetitive posts as going through so many pages would be a huge task. I will make sure that I take advantage of this feature and do not make repetitive posts. It is okay to make multiple posts in the same thread because as the discussion goes on, we might have something more to say which might not be the repetition of our old post.

I too have gained a lot even though it was my suggestion specially to know where I have not posted.

These days I am using the feature. I read my earlier posts if I am not sure if I have posted the same thing earlier. It is very helpful and it has saved me from posting the same thing again in few threads here.

I have found this feature useful. Sometimes we post on a discussion and forget. However, with this feature, we will come to know that we have already posted on a discussion.

It becomes quite confusing, especially when we are on few forum sites. Many users are common on these sites and they post similar threads on other sites too without violating any plagiarism rules. We are lost that way. Sometimes I feel that I have already posted on the topic though I would have done it on another site with a similar thread and scrolling down to see your post is not a convenient way.

I was looking at the " Last Website that Paid you" thread and I have posted 175 times on this thread since 2015. This is mostly to make comments about payment (apart from a few comments to ask people about different sites). Quite impressive!

It existed because so many members here become super repetitive on their favorite threads that people are getting reported for being repetitive. One member who is almost banned triggered it.

Yes I think there is a difference between posts that are saying the same thing over and over on the same threads and posts which contribute towards a discussion making valid points. Also you can make many posts on the games threads.

Well game threads if for fun. The BMW should not be a game but certain members had been gaming the system, especially the Mylot thread and the 1 dollar a day thread. I was requesting for a different feature and that is banning a person from a thread if they got reported multiple times by different people who notice their violations. This will make them be afraid of getting banned and clean up their acts.

I personally feel that this is the worst one on the forum. How many times can you say you've taken a break? It's absurd. I've posted 3 times on it and that's probably too many.

What is your story?

I like the new feature. Before IF I wanted to know whether I had posted I would do a SORT by Author and search for all of my posts in that thread. I did that so that I would not repeat myself and earn a forum coin for saying what I already said and had earned a forum coin. I sometimes forget if I said something because it's been a while since I reviewed the thread. But if I did. it's not right to get paid for repeating what I already said.

So basically now I can just click that button and do a quick review of my comments. That's what I used to do before only I had to manually click the sort button, which pulled up everybody's comments in alphabetical order by user name. Then I had to scroll through to find my comments.

Anyway! I like this new feature.
