What we report is there for Admin to see. It will be disheartening if Admin does not think much of it and just ignores it.

We never ignore a post that is reported. Sometimes we remove the post, sometimes we edit the post to remove offending content, sometimes we contact the member and ask them to be more careful in future posts and sometimes we feel that the post does not break our guidelines and can remain on the forum.

You can select any category, we don't really pay much attention to the category, just the reported post content and the reason the reporter provides in the text box when making the report.

Suppose Admn thinks it is not a strong enough reason to take action the one who reports should know as a guide for the future.

Very good suggestion. I agree with you. For this, @Fergal or @CyberFreek should intimate the user member concerned (reporter) regarding the action taken on the issue.

More so that we know if what we report is not a violation as per the Sites rules then a repeat of that will not be there
