Re: Contributing FCs for Covid-19 relief?

Postby talkerbee » 30 Apr 2020, 09:18

Donated today 30 FC as I celebrate my birthday today April 30. A little share of all the blessings I received in life. My life is not so comfortable unlike rich people but I am contented and happy. My family is complete and no one is in sick. We survive the daily needs despite the crisis. I have a lot reason to thank for.

We have had an additional 269 ForumCoin donated, which equates to $2.69 / €2.45, after matching that I have donated a further €5 to help stop Coronavirus. That's $65 in total from the ForumCoin community. Thanks everyone who generously supported this and we are still open to receiving ForumCoin donations.

Thanks everyone, a further 129 ForumCoin has been donated by our members. I have more than matched that and made a €5 donation on behalf of ForumCoin. That brings the total from ForumCoin to €70, which Google match with a further €70 bringing the total to €140. Well done everyone and thanks for your support.

Thanks everyone for your support. As donations have slowed down at this stage, this offer is now closed. Obviously members are welcome to make their own donations.

I really feel for the most vulnerable people during this pandemic time. I'll help to donate some FC to the less privileges to carry on.

I have not contributed here but have been helping those in need around here on a regular basis . Just yesterday I helped a boy buy a smart phone to take part in online studies. I also paid his school fees as his father is jobless on account of the pandemic.

Well done bestwriter on helping others and contributing to that boy's education, that's really great and will have a long term impact as he grows and in turn uses his education to the benefit of others.

I could say I have been there and done that and now it is time for those in need to be there and do that. I have a Trust that reaches out to the needy. I know there is more joy giving than receiving.

Those are very noble deeds. I have contributed to charities at times and also used to invest in a kind of Micro-Finance institute but their model changed and I have not been able to do much with the new model.

Members are welcome to discuss and make their own donations towards Covid related charities. As interest slowed down in our offer of matching ForumCoin donations, we are no longer doing that.
