There have been 6189 people who have joined ForumCoin since day 1. 2461 out of that entire group joined but have never posted anything at all. Another 625 joined but only contributed a single post. Another 819 joined in and posted content, but violated site policies and have been banned.
2279 members have contributed 2 or more posts, but 947 of them never went beyond 10 posts. That entire group of 947 only contributed a total of 4344 posts, or not even one half of one percent of all content. 49 members have each contributed more than that entire group by themselves.
We are down to just 1332 members over the life of this site who have collectively contributed 92.06% of all site content. The top ten most prolific writers have contributed 20.5% of all content by themselves, which leaves 71.56% of all site content coming from just 1322 members from day 1 to today. Only 145 members ever went past 1000 posts out of the whole lot.
Based on today's site details, a total 70 members have posted content in the last 30 days. In the collective opinion of all active members, 34 of them are rated below average in quality and 36 are rated above in average quality via reputation points.
43 members logged in during the last 48 hours but only 24 of them posted content during their visit. Along with uncountable guests, 19 members only came to browse content even though they took the time to log in.
The whole point of these details is to demonstrate that overall, very few people are providing content that most other visitors only come to read. They are coming to find quality content that can help them find what they are looking for.
All those bots that you see logged in on the bottom the home page are also looking for quality content so they can be indexed in all those search engines. The rated quality makes a difference in the value of any advertising placed on this site. The higher the quality rating, the better the potential income from those ads.
All those bots and search engines have complex algorithms to determine the quality of the content.
Here on ForumCoin, we have the Reputation Points system, where active members express their collective opinions of the quality of your content. Reputation Points have no cash value. You cannot buy, sell or trade them. The true value of the reputation points is a self regulating system as a guide to let you know how you are doing. Even though it is only an expression of the collective opinion from the community, once a member has contributed 100 or more posts, it has proven to be a fairly accurate assessment of the quality of your posted content.
The overall average reputation score for all members for the life of this site is currently 8.51%. If your score is below that average, your peers, or the rest of the ForumCoin community, are effectively telling you that you need to work at providing better quality content. If your score is substantially higher than the site average, then the FC community is basically telling you that you are doing fine; the higher the score the better.
The Reputation Point system is nothing more than a guide to tell you how you are doing. It does not currently affect any revenue earnings and any negative reputation point should never be considered any attack. If you receive a negative reputation point, someone is telling you that the particular post is at the very least low quality or potentially offensive. You need to do much better in the future.
You can always see your own reputation point score by dividing your total number of rep points by your total number of posts and reading the results as a percentage.
If you see content that adds new value to the topic, you should give them a positive reputation point. If you see content that does not add any value to the topic, particularly if it rambles off topic, you should give them a negative reputation point. There is space provided for you to explain the reason for your point either way and it is very helpful to provide that reason.
When you post content, you should always strive to provide new and unique educational content that adds value to the topic. Don't post content that adds no value and never post content that has nothing to do with the original posted topic. Be sure to always read the original post. You can learn a lot by actually taking the time to read added posts before you post duplicating content.
Enjoy your experience but always keep in mind that you are providing information for future readers who come here to find what they are looking for. Add quality content with each post. Don't post junk.
