I don't come here on a regular basis and I usually forget all the forum threads where I posted my opinion, but some people drop me a reply and I never see it because I do not have on-page notifications.
Can we get that feature in here, it would be great?

Such a feature has been available all along. If you want to be notified about any response to any topic, just go to the bottom of the page. Directly under the block where you enter your content is a block of options:
Attach a signature (signatures can be altered via the UCP)
Quote the last message
Notify me when a reply is posted
Quote Selected

Just click the box to the left of the " Notify me when a reply is posted" and you will receive an email notification when someone else posts content. It is a one time notification after your last post. If you do not respond to the notification you don't get a second notice. When you respond again, click the notification box again for another notification.

I would sign up for these notifications but I am always afraid f the emails getting lost in the hundreds of emails I get daily

I do have a notification on received emails from PM's on the site but I have not set the notification for replies.

Another option would be to simply bookmark the post with your operating systems bookmark ability or maybe keep a notepad with links back to the post and a short comment to remind you why you want to go back.

I am not sure if I received any emails from this site. For me, I usually check and delete emails that are not essential for me.
