1 MILLION POSTS

There is a reason for the sudden change in the prediction date to reach one million posts.

During the first 7 months of 2022, the average volume had dropped to barely over 100 posts per day.

This contest was introduced 100 days ago on August 5th. That existing low volume of daily posts was the reason I had first suggested the goal would be reached sometime in the early spring of 2025.

When this contest began, I set up an automated calculation based on daily posts (for the site, not just this topic) during the contest. The daily volume of posts continued to rise which is the reason the prediction date continued to change to earlier dates, but that calculation was still skewed due to the first low volume weeks of the contest and was only based on recent site activity during the contest.

The daily volume of posts has continued to grow and has now equaled the site average from the beginning of ForumCoin. (249.88 posts per day) I can now base the prediction date on the previous formula based on the entire site history; currently 3702 days instead of just the most recent 100 days. This site history prediction should be more stable and accurate with fewer changes for the rest of this contest. It could still change depending on future site activity. The prediction is based on the daily volume of posts, now again for the history of the site.

Just to note how dramatic this change has been, the prediction to reach 2 million posts has jumped nearly 4 years earlier based on site history averages compared to what it was based on the post activity of the first 60 days of this contest.

1074780 posts to go.

2 MILLION POSTS

The problem now is that many members seem to
have forgotten about providing quality content.

The overall reputation score has been in free fall to lower averages every day as some members seem to be racing to reach that million post goal. SLOW DOWN.

While the individual rep point scores have risen for 22 members in the latest 30 days, it has dramatically fallen for 24 others, enough to lower the site history average scores for all. All 46 of those have lower than site average scores due to a lot of junk quality posts.

Read the original post in any topic where you choose to participate. Review the existing posts to understand the complete conversation. Do your very best to always add new and unique educational content about the topic. Avoid useless chatter that does not add value to the topic and never wander off topic.

Pay attention to the banner near the top of the page:
You have made xx posts in this topic - View My Posts
If it says you have already posted more than a dozen times, it is time to move on to other topics. Otherwise, you are going to end up repeating yourself with useless content if you have not already done that.

If you see a post that you feel adds value to the topic, be sure to give it the reputation point it deserves. If you see content that adds no value to the topic, give it a negative reputation point or at least click the report button so the site administration can take a look. It is a guide to tell each member how they are doing. The collections of reputation points represent a community opinion about the contributions of each member from all the rest of the community. That includes your opinion. Make it part of your site participation.

Reputation Scores
If you don't already know, you can always see your own score by dividing your total number of reputation points by your total number of posts and read the results as a percentage.

If your score is lower than the site average (currently 8.5%), consider it a message from the rest of the community that you need to do better. If your score is above the site average, you are doing fine but there is always room for improvement. Many members have scores well above 15%. The highest earned reputation score is now 61.95% with 4063 posts and 2517 reputation points.

It has nothing to do with time on the site, it is all about the quality of your content.

For example, a newer member with 250 posts and 30 reputation points has a score of 12%. An older member with 6250 posts and 420 reputation points has a score of 6.7%. This indicates that the member with only 250 posts is providing much higher quality content and the blabbermouth needs to work on improving the quality of their content.
