Boosting forumcoin's ad revenue

Postby germainebull » 28 Sep 2023, 08:54

As we all know, it is crucial for the forumcoin site to sustainably earn sufficient ad revenue. Such situation is beneficial to all of us, both the forum owners and admins, as well as members.

I have been thinking about this matter for sometime.

My musings have led me to the conclusion that forumcoin can increase ad revenue by making changes such that a member who has installed an adblock software cannot post on the site. That is, to post and hence earn forumcoins, all members must first disable their adblok software.

What do you think @fergal?

The suggestion can be implemented in an adhoc and voluntary basis.
With browsers like Brave, there could be more Ad blocking.
Now do we prevent a member using Brave from taking active part here?
May be we can run more discussions asking people to advertise more of their work here, especially who have an active website.

Your idea can help but I don't think it will solve the problem. I think Forum coin needs to have more activity in other to attract new advertisers. I don't know if we click on ads banners will help?! :?:

You mean more like creating a paid to click function on the forum?

Another potential option to increase overall revenue is to accept donations to the forum. Or perhaps make more membership perks purchaseable. Like you could buy a premium membership or something that puts a shiny tag on your profile and maybe other perks to show you donated to the forum.

I personally think that it is a good idea. Regardless, it still need more time to resolve the current problem. It is a matter of working together and be active as much as possible. Referring people is an addition way to increase the members of the family.

That would also contribute to the problem of having more people to pay out when they hit the threshold as well. It's a double edged sword.

I dont really have much ideas about this since its not my field, but why dont we make use of social media in terms of boosting and creating more awareness for does who are looking for platforms to advertise their goods and products. I don't know if forumcoin is active on any social media but we can create more awareness, this would bring in more advertisers as well.
The key would be to make forumcoin an easier choice. These days people tend to use social media cause it is a lot easier in terms on reaching out to their target audience. If forumcoin has offers that is not only affordable but also a lot more comfortable compared to most social media advertising, i am sure it would produce some positive results. Then again i dont really know much about things like this.

We don't know about the traffic status, if FC gets 50k monthly impressions, selling ad space through Buy Sell Ads can be really good to boost revenue

Let me share the truth here, it is not that we are not willing to find people but the problem is that it is very difficult to find people who align with us. You can get to promote the forum to like 100 people to sign up but just to get even 3 to be active is what has been a problem for a while.

That is why a lot of sites have introduced a daily task target for you to be eligible for a certain income potential. I think the admin has something similar where you need to make a $2 advertisement placement to make a withdrawal from the admin. I think we should have a $1 monthly subscription or $12 per and it can come with some extra incentives like automatically qualify you in a draw or something, I also think we should have a donation and gift button, but above all, we should heavily promote the marketplace for selling and buying products and services because that is the only way we are going to have sustainabe liquidity. But a stern warning to those who have an evil intention to harm the forum.

Maintaing the site and paying members requires lots of hard work. Personally, I would think that if the admin can incorporate affiliate ads in this site, may be members and other visitors would visit such links and buy. This would mean earning for the site thus increasing on the earnings. This in the long range can help the site to be with enough money that can help pay members.

Also, an adblocker notification should be added so members can be alerted and requested to disable adblock software for the benefit of the site. This would allow Ada to be shown to all thus increasing on site earnings.

I'm a bit guilty of one thing. I've been using Brave most of the time for quite some time now. Somehow, it slipped my mind that Brave has a built-in ad blocker. Thanks for this post though. I now disabled the Brave Shield for FC.

For me I don't have any problems with disabling the adblockers for the sake of earning on a paid to post forum like this.

It is better from other browser like restore opened sites unlike edge and google chrome. But you could disable for all sites on settings.

It is important for online platforms to generate sufficient ad revenue in order to support their operations and provide reward to their users. @germainebull, your suggestion of requiring members to disable their adblock software in order to post on the site seem like a good solution.
