How often can an ad thread be bumped without having the auto merge merge both posts?

It was set to 1 day between posts although I am not 100% if that means 24 hours or 1 whole calender day has to pass however i have now changed it to 24 hours so aslong as more than 24 hours has passed, it shouldn't merge the posts.
