It is difficult to speculate why members have left this site. But may I ask, how did you notice that members are not that active anymore?

People come and go all the time, it's the name of the game. People are always saying it about Chatabout too but I hadn't really noticed much difference.

There are many reasons that people leave sites, they get banned, they find something they like better or perhaps as you say they are miffed because the rates went down a little. There are always new people to take their place though.

I haven't noticed that, but then again I am here for a very short time so I couldn't notice that. As sprite1950 there are many reasons why people leave sites. Maybe they don't like it here anymore or maybe they found some other job.

I agree with Sprite1950 :) (as always isn't it??)
People come and go. Everyday we gain new users and also lose it. I think it's normal!
A few months ago, when I started in Forum Coin, the active people were different from now. Some are still active, and other gone away... ;)

I personally haven't noticed. Then again, those people I tend to watch and interact with are still here, so maybe that's why I haven't noticed. Plus, some people like me have other regular jobs, which means they aren't always able to come on here. For instance, I wasn't able to log in all of yesterday, but I'm back. Maybe coincidentally, it's your friends mainly?

This^

I still notice the same amount of moderation volume. haha :P. I honestly haven't seen a drop off in activity but the only way of knowing for sure would be the post per day stats. It's also difficult to pin-point a "cause" of activity/ inactivity on a forum.

Personally, I have not noticed that anybody has left. The same people that seemed to be posting when I joined are still active.

People have their lives, and sometime this time spent here get less important than things they have to handle out there. Some will be away temporarly, others (hopefully) got a better life and feel no need to earn here. Of course there are the banned, and those who realise this is not a "get rich quick" place ;)

Well if you see the threads and posts you will easily notice that how they are not active anymore. ( I meant by overall threads and posts )

vathsala wrote:I too noticed. Lot of members and their posts are missing . I have even sent pm to them but no response. May be they are busy in their own work

This maybe a good reason for them to be not active anymore.

Well for some reason I wasn't active too almost for a month :)..... That's not really big deal. Well at least that's what I guess.

You will usually see a few leave paid sites with any decrease in pay. Some will hang on, hoping that things improve again. New people will also join over time. There is always flux.

Well I my guess is you are right. People normally leave site if the pay decrease. And of course new people will keep joining :)

There has been a decrease in activity however it has been increasing again recently. The decrease happened when both Fergal went on holiday (any payouts were put on hold) and when the rates decreased which both pretty much happened within a couple of days of each other.

Personally I am not too bothered. The users that leave because the rates have been cut or because payouts stop for a short while are not really members I personally think are good for the site. We have to be sustainable first and foremost and secondly I would prefer to see users who are here because they like the site and the community and not here because it is another way to earn a few $ each week.

There is always going to be members leaving thinking that a new site paying higher rates is going to the next big thing and will keep paying out high rates but usually there is another member signing up to take their place here. Over time some of the users that leave do come back to us. We are not a get rich quick scheme or a high paying site but what we are instead is a reliable site that lives within our means and that does not promise the impossible to gain members and then disappear. We have been around for years already and I see no reason why we can't still be here in many years to come. As the famous saying goes (in the UK anyway) "The grass is not always greener on the other side" meaning that sometimes it is better to stay with what you have got rather than gamble that something else might be better.

The thing is, when new people join a site they aren't aware of how it was before they came and if they are happy to join on the current terms there isn't a problem.

I know from reading posts from before I came here that things were different, it was a little easier to earn, but it didn't make any difference because I thought this site was worth it .. I still do :)

It's like an elevator or a train car--when the doors open people come and people go. The thing that brought you here will also cause you to leave. Distractions, attractions and addictions will also get people's attention and cause them to turn their head.

Hopefully, like lost sheep or the prodigal son they will return home to their friends. :)
