In today's fast-paced life, food delivery services like Foodpanda are common for many people. They let us get a variety of yummy meals without leaving home. But the costs can add up fast if you're not careful. I’ve found some easy ways to save money while still enjoying good food from Foodpanda. Here’s my full guide to keeping costs down while enjoying tasty meals.

1. Utilize Promotions and Discounts

One of the best ways to save money on Foodpanda is to take advantage of the frequent promotions and discounts they offer. I always look out for special deals on certain days of the week or during festive seasons. For instance, many restaurants on the platform provide discount codes for first-time users or specific cuisines, which can lead to significant savings. Before I place an order, I make it a habit to check the “Promotions” section on the app. By doing this, I have secured up to 30% off on particular meals or even free delivery on larger orders.

2. Loyalty Programs and Cashback Offers

Foodpanda often runs loyalty programs and cashback offers. I find that participating in these programs can lead to impressive savings over time. For example, by signing up for their loyalty rewards, I earn points each time I make a purchase, which I can later redeem for discounts on future orders. Some credit card companies also partner with Foodpanda, offering cashback on orders placed through the platform. Therefore, I ensure I use the right credit card for my transactions to maximize my savings.

3. Plan My Meals

Another significant way I save money is by planning my meals in advance. I avoid impulsive orders that can escalate my expenses. Instead, I take a few minutes each week to decide what I want to eat. This strategy ensures that I only order what I genuinely want, helping me avoid unnecessary or extra costs. Moreover, I find that ordering larger portions for lunch can provide leftovers for dinner, giving me double the value for my money.

4. Explore Value Meals and Combos

Foodpanda features a variety of restaurants that offer value meals and combos. I have found that opting for these specials can save me quite a bit. Many restaurants provide meal deals that include multiple items at a reduced price compared to ordering each item separately. For instance, I love ordering a combo that includes a main dish, a side, and a drink, as it often costs less than ordering everything individually. This way, I get more bang for my buck while still enjoying a hearty meal.

5. Take Advantage of Delivery Promotions

Delivery fees can add up, but Foodpanda often has promotions that waive delivery charges, especially for orders above a certain threshold. I make it a point to gather friends or family to have a group order. By combining our orders, we not only meet the minimum requirement to avoid delivery fees but also enjoy each other’s company while sharing different dishes. It’s a win-win situation good food and good company without breaking the bank!

6. Use the Foodpanda App Effectively

The Foodpanda app is designed to facilitate not only ordering food but also saving money. I often check the "Favorites" section to reorder meals I love and sometimes discover similar dishes that are lower in price. Additionally, the app will occasionally send push notifications for flash sales or instant discounts, which I never ignore! Having notifications turned on ensures I don’t miss out on any deals.

7. Share Meals with Friends

Dining out or ordering in becomes much more affordable when you share meals with friends. I often organize food nights where everyone pitches in for an order. By splitting the costs, we can enjoy a wider variety of food while keeping our individual expenses low. This “family-style” approach is fun and makes meal time even more enjoyable.

Conclusion

Saving money on Foodpanda can be easy. By using special deals, planning my meals, looking for value meals, and sharing orders with friends, I've changed my experience from just a boring cost into a fun and budget-friendly one. With these tips, I can enjoy my favorite foods without spending too much. If you haven't tried these ideas yet, I really suggest giving them a try! Happy saving and enjoy your meal!

Thanks Yusra, they don't seem to provide a service in my area. What type of deliveries do you get from them, e.g. do you get prepared meals or groceries delivered?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that Foodpanda is currently available in Pakistan, Philippines, Bangladesh, Cambodia. Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand… and this platform offers prepared meals and grocery items.

Foodpanda has many restaurants with cheap deals and shared meals. Choosing these packages is much cheaper than buying everything separately and you get a lot of sauce for a small amount.
