I feel so very blessed when I wake up in the morning. Every day, I pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary to intercede for my loved ones and me. When I wake up the next day still alive, I know that she has and another day begins.
She has even blessed me to be able to write about her here today. There are two (2) other websites that I write for who do not allow religion. I know that it is not good to talk about religion and politics with friends, but these are websites where opinion should be allowed. The only way I do understand for the opinion to not be allowed is if the opinion were violent. That is why there are editors, yes? I used to be an editor-in-chief of four (4) websites.
Many people argue with me about praying to Mary. They claim that there is no mention in the Bible to pray for her. Well, is she not the Mother of Jesus? Don’t YOU listen to or obey YOUR Mother? Of course most kids listen to their Mother, especially if the Mother has good advice.
Of course, like many people, even religious people, I need that morning coffee. Whether iced coffee or a mocha or two (2), that caffeine is a “little treat”.
Finally, I like to pay it forward. I recently saw a t-shirt online that states to “pray like Mary and serve like Martha”. The t-shirt is so on it. As-soon-as I earn enough, that t-shirt is sold! I personally pray all day and work like a mad woman. As stated above, I write. When you are a freelance writer, often you do not know when you are going to be paid and/or what you are going to be paid. Since I really cannot give monetarily to my church, I give to their donation boxes there, such as clothing and food. Mary and Martha must be thinking of me. So, in place of their generosity, I am going to buy that t-shirt one day soon to show others, especially those that hate.
Hopefully you do not think that I am being a Bible thumper. This is just how I feel when I wake up. I pray. I drink coffee. I work. I am blessed.
I would love to know how you feel when you wake up in the morning. Do you feel blessed?
