This is my teaching on Self-Improvement.
1. Accept failure
Instead of seeing as negativity, see as a learning experience.
2. Learn to say “no”
Did you have your food diary set for the day and a loved one brings home a doggy bag insisting that you have some food?
3. Practice self-care
For example, do you make sure that you consume enough water every day? Drink good, pure, clean water! Walk Away The Pounds guru Leslie Sansone tells people this constantly. A few years ago, I personally was in a hospital for a small bowel obstruction. I drank a ton of ice water and came out of the hospital happy, healthy and safe!
4. Get out of your comfort zone
Simply do something new! Being too comfortable does not make us grow. Another personal example would be how I have become interested in the Ambassador Program for Java Momma, a coffee company.
Then, for years now, I have wanted to become an aromatherapist, helping people cure their ailments with essential oils.
What would you do?
5. Repeat affirmations
Come up with your own sayings. Personally, I repeat my own version of a prayer to the blessed Virgin Mary. Not the Hail Mary. Just my own simple prayer.
6. Ask others how they perceive you
Once I was at a meeting where we were asked what stood out to others about each of us. One person said that what stood out to her about myself was that I am a hard-working side hustler. Made myself feel good.
7. Ask yourself what your passions are
Can’t find a job doing what you love? Don’t give up! You think that you have problems? Put yourself in my shoes. I am a cookbook reviewer. How many companies are looking for cookbook reviewers?
8. Do a hobby
You do not need to have a craft to create. You belong to Forum Coin, don’t you? Consider Forum Coin as your hobby! It can look good on a resume and on LinkedIn too!
9. Learn from people who inspire you
Family-wise, I have admired my family who have had it rough and stuck together.
As for public figures, I learn from Joyce Meyer. She makes more sense to myself than a Roman Catholic priest and I grew up as a Roman Catholic!
10. Learn to calm yourself down
Get out your mental toolbox. Use your tools such as deep breaths, going to your safe place in your mind (for example, I imagine going to a cottage in Canada), listen to an audiobook, lay down, color in a coloring book, do a craft, etc.
Make sense?
