We look for shortcuts everywhere as we have our fingers in several pies. Kitchen is a place where we want 'click of a button' ways to dish out recipes. I too look for shortcuts more because I do not like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. This chicken recipe is one such that hardly takes time. I have named it 'Instant Chicken'

Ingredients

1 medium sized chicken
3 onions
1 teaspoon pepper powder
1 teaspoon spice powder (cinnamon and clove)
3 tomatoes
2 tablespoon Ghee or butter for seasoning
salt to taste
2 potatoes

Method

Cut chicken into large pieces - you will get around 12 from a medium sized chicken
Cut one onion into thin strips for seasoning.
Cut the remaining onions into pieces (square)
Cut tomatoes into small pieces

Season the onion strips in ghee until they turn brown. Add chicken pieces and fry the chicken until liquid comes out. Add cut onions and tomatoes and let the chicken cook in its own gravy. No water is to be added. Once the chicken is done add pepper and spice powder

Clean and cut potatoes into strips. Marinate with a bit of salt and deep fry them. Serve them with the cooked chicken.
This dish is ideal eaten with bread.

Enjoy

Oh my goodness this sounds so good. I like to find new ways to cook meats especially since right now we have been having a lot of chicken. We bought it in bulk because it was so much cheaper. I am going to have to try this recipe out and see how it turns out for me. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Sounds very good, as long as someone else cooks it. I am more of a simple guy that likes to get things done wit a minimum of effort, so I throw a handful of chicken legs in some dry seasoning and put them on the grill for an hour. I get dinner for tonight and leftovers for a few lunches.

Working on a New Side-Hustle

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

Since you seem to know about cooking you could make adjustments here and there to satiate your taste buds  Happy cooking.

Oh gosh this recipe looks very tasty indeed :D I so wish that my dads garden still has fresh tomatoes but we have frost now so there are now. I have everything to make that except for tomatoes. I may try it, thanks for sharing.

Hope you will get your tomatoes. Do get back when your dish is ready. ;)

This sounds super simple to make! Although, I have to agree with ceci that I want to see a photo of the actual food rather than the smiley face. Also, I am not really a fan of clove, is there any other "spice mixture" that can be used to substitute for this?

I had this image when i had prepared it a long time ago. I also have a problem connecting my camera to the computer. My card reader no longer works with the new memory stick I have got for my camera. I have ordered for a lead cable and once I get it i will prepare a dish and then take a picture and post it here. Promise 8-)

Normally ingredients make one's mouth water  Sadly you do not like cloves. Never mind. I have licensed you all to make whatever changes but onions and tomatoes are compulsory
