Managing the monthly budget is not an easy task. Often you have to rely on the spreadsheet which you can't read easily and work onto smartphone. In such case, managing the personal finance with an app can be much easier option. Here are some of the apps that you can use for improving your monthly financial budget.

You Need A Budget : One of the most popular personal finance app that deals with debt and investment habit.

If you have no clue which app to invest into, then I suggest taking a look at this app. It not only helps with managing your debt but also helps you plan for emergency fund. You can learn a lot of interesting skills on money management using this app. The app developers also release regular podcast that discusses various finance strategies. The app currently is available on Android, Windows desktop and Mac Desktop. The cost is 50$ a year which is also reasonable. It's totally worth every penny that you spend into it. You can also try the app for 34 days to see how it works for you savings.

Money Lover : This is one free app that allows you to keep track of your expenses. Though app does not have any personalized formula for saving and debt. But the app works as a finance tracker. So you can keep track of the bills, reminders, expenses and the current savings. It can sync with the multiple devices that includes web and iOS app apart from the Android. Most of the app features are free but for some extended features you have to pay through in-app purchases. One of the interesting feature that I have found is "spending map" which keeps track of thing on which you're spending. The app is available free of cost to use on Android.

Fast Budget : Budgeting is something we find it hard to adjust with in everyday life. This is something fast budget app developers are trying to solve. They have created this app for those who want to keep track of the monthly budget and expenses. It shows you money sources and where the money is being spent. It can also export your device data into CSV. This CSV file you can read and work on desktop or the phone itself. It can also sync the device into multiple devices. You can find this app free of cost on Android. The app contains in-app purchase system for extended set of features.

Mint : This app also has one sub-app known as "Mint Bills". These two apps together can be really useful for tracking bills and budget. Mint Bills can read through bill receipts, online SMS of transactions and also bank notifications. It can then show the data of bills and expenses. This data can be read into the Mint later for further processing. It also helps with understanding the spending pattern. The app is available free of cost to download on Android. There is no in app purchase as all the features are available free of cost.

Wally : The app has unusual name for the personal finance tracker. However this is one of the popular and upcoming startup that is building feature rich app. It supports multi currency and it can read through many bank SMS and categorize the transactions. It also allows you to lock the app data with password. So this can be a helpful feature so you don't want it to share with others. The app is completely free with no ads. Currently the app has exclusive support for iOS users. However they do have the Android app with the name Wally Plus. It has all the features from base iOS app plus more.

There are many other personal finance apps out there for Android and iOS. However the above apps are easy to use without much learning curve.

I am using YNAB. And it is a good software for both desktop and android. It has very good features to keep one focused on expenses and budget. I think the team worked very hard and making this system functioning for users in general regardless of their financial condition.
