Best web developer courses and creators

When I first started learning how to program a few years ago sites like Udemy and Coursera were not developed as much, there was pretty much no content available and the only quality resources were paid. The internet has gotten bigger and spread worldwide thus the content online has gotten much richer, it's actually a bad thing because people looking to learn something can be overwhelmed by the possibilities. I'm going to point you to the right direction and recommend some of the best courses out there, free and paid.

PROTIP: When buying courses, don't buy them for $200-$300 since those prices are there for marketing. Wait for sales, the courses will be something along the lines of $10

Brad Hussey is probably your best option out there, incredible web development courses that I followed even as an experienced developer, managed to learn some stuff I didn't catch on when I was a newbie. He has many tutorials and a blog talking about being a freelancer in the industry plus tips for young developers. His courses are both free and paid, if you're on the fence about buying a web development course just buy one of Brad's and I'll guarantee you'll not be disappointed.

Some of his best work: https://www.udemy.com/web-developer-course/ / https://www.udemy.com/build-website-scratch/ / https://www.udemy.com/build-beautiful-html5-website/ / https://www.udemy.com/bootstrap-4/learn/v4/overview .

A guilty pleasure of mine is watching Dev Tips on Youtube whenever Travis Neilson uploads a video, always the best quality of course. The guy taught me so much about front-end development that I had a little bit of impostor syndrome, he knows his stuff. Currently working at Google, Travis is a front-end developer mainly focusing on the design and user experience aspect of a site, his tutorials go really in-depth so you get a chance to see how the mind of a Google Engineer works. He built his personal site in a series on the DevTips channel. Besides that, mr. Neilson also does podcasts with his buddy Los, interviews some other developers and in general come sup with innovative stuff. If you're leaning towards the front-end aspect of web development definitely watch these videos.

We've had basic and front-end development, but what about back-end? Truth be told, I'm not passionate about that side of the field so I haven't delved too much in that regard. I did find an interesting Youtube channel that made me interested about the science behind databases and Node.js though, LearnCode.academy. Will Stern is a great developer that loves back-end more than anything, you can find numerous tutorials regarding Node, Express, Mongo and the likes. There are some React and Redux tutorials for you there front-end enthusiasts as well, don't fret. The channel is all around great.

Will is going to launch a Node.js tutorial soon, $40 well spent in my opinion: http://store.learncode.academy/
