Side Business Balancing Financial State in Dry Phase

Postby skysnap » 30 Mar 2017, 07:43

Side business does not always produce the money that we expect it to produce. And this in itself makes you think if spending time and money is even worth it. Side business means that you are going to have some dry days. And that is where you have the hint that you should not leave the real job. And you should have alternate source of income that is going to run. And though single side business can be enough for some of us. But it helps to get the idea or plan ready for those dry days. Here in this article we are going to see how to handle those dry financial days.

New Customers

Always be in hunt for the new customers. If you don't do that then that is going to affect your financial state a lot. You can get into dry phase if you are not looking for the new work. And that;s where you are going to have few financial ups and down. And that needs to be managed properly. You have to make sure that you are spending the new customers discovery through social media and other similar sites. You can find a lot of options these days through social media.

Savings

This phase pretty much relies on the savings done earlier. Don't touch your savings and spend it taking some random risks. That is not going to be a good option for you. You have to continue to save even during this phase. I know it's going to be hard. But if you can manage this dry phase then surely this will turn out to be much better for you. You have lot of things to manage for the business in the dry spell. But unless you understand how to manage money, then such dry spell would extend. So pay attention to the savings that you do.

Alternative Income

You have to find the alternative income source that can protect you from one single source income. That way your risk is diversified. And this means you would require some time for your strategy. So dry days are good for you to find out how to manage the dry days. I would suggest that alternative income needs to be considered even if your side business and current working job is going good. Having more than one source of income is good for you. And that means it is not going to be any easy for those who are relying on the single source of income. But you have to get out of the comfort zone.

New Skills

We can always get more new customers by learning new skills. And then market those services and products from the skills learned. Many business owners are doing that and extending their business. You learning new skills can make it easier for you to diversify. You have to focus on small details of your business. And this way you can build the new set of small side business too. And that can funnel your higher paying side business. For example, if you have printing business then working with tutor can make you get some good clients for the printing services. And vice versa.

These are some of the points that you can pay attention to if you are interested in making money during the dry phase of your side business. It may not be easy but it is worth getting into if you are serious with your work and have people who purchase stuff around.
