How to Answer: What Part of the Job is the Least Challenging

Postby grecy0905 » 25 Mar 2017, 15:48

If the question about the least challenging about the job you are applying is asked in the interview, your future employer wants to know what are the specific job roles that you will likely to train less and you can be good the soonest possible time. The HR Manager is asking obviously asking about your strength and weaknesses about your specific job responsibilities.

If you are applying for the same position that you have on your previous job, it is quite easy to answer this one based on your experience. It will only differ if you are applying for a new position because for sure you have a lot to learn first. It is a form of pre-assessment of what they will expect from you, including your skills and talents.

Reviewing Job Description and Key Strength
By reading the job description again, you can able to choose what are those that you find less challenging to do. By reviewing the job position responsibility, you can easily separate the job that you find easy to learn or already learned, to the most challenging one. The easy one might include using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. You can answer that you can learn easily some office formula, office coding, supplier/vendor performance and the like.
If you can identify that there are things you could do on the key strength because you already had experience about it, you must include this one. This question needs a detail explanation because you need to clear yourself of the thing you find easy to do. Since the most challenging one is not to ask in this area, be prepared for this question too because it might be the next question.

Matching your Skills to the Job Description
To clearly define on how to match your skills to the job description for your future company, you should set a specific example and situation in the past. You need to describe how the action was taken and the result. Take note of the number of days of learning those skills to more if you still happen to remember. In addition, do not give an impression the when you find out the part of the job that is least challenging, you will not challenge yourself about it. Mention that you are excited to know the changes that you will learn from your new company regardless you already know specific job skills or you are looking forward to sharing what you know with your future team.

This question is seemed one of the easiest to answer as you just need to determine what are the parts of job responsibilities that you can easily do, with less training and guidance, in a lesser possible time, however, the only difficult is, if you cannot answer this question. This only show that during your time, every single responsibility of the job is not easy to do at all. You can pick the situation in the past that you learned to do alone. You found it challenging and you never believed that you can able to learn it independently.

Yes, I never thought they will ask this. I was applying for something like Order Entry and it is a BPO company. They love to ask a lot of question that will lead you to feel tired and thirsty after the interview.
