Our life is consisting of ups and downs. There is a sad part of our life that we feel alone because somehow, we choose to be alone and hide what we feel to not burden the people around us. We hide it because some might not understand what we are going through that might end up criticizing us more. We end up being alone because we thought we will able to solve our own issues.
Being useless is about on other things. The reason could be because you had done lots of mistakes and you experienced lots of rejection from your past that you limit yourself to try new things. You feel useless if you cannot share the good news to people. If you cannot give money to your parents, if you cannot have a steady job because of your illness and if you cannot do the things you are doing before. I am in that position right now and I am trying my best to not think about it.
Because of that, I will share you 3 Tips that is working for me to stop feeling I am useless. I need to end the feeling of being alone because of hiding what I feel from the people around me and these 3 tips is helping me.
Meditation
I know meditation since I graduated in college because it was introduced to me by a Physical Education teacher. I stop doing it when I started to have a regular job. Now, I am back on it and I decided to do it regularly.
Meditation is your way of connecting to your own true self. Every person has a deeper self that they need to know and communicate regularly. By doing meditation 10-15 minutes every morning, you learned to communicate to your deeper self to and it is a great help for you to be aware of what you are feeling when there is a specific situation arises. It also clears your mind to way up to a right decision you need to take. It solves the issue about your ego. Feeling useless and alone are those crappy things that will enter your mind once you started to feel sad. Maybe you are not happy with what you are dealing at the moment, but you don’t need to take advantage of a more crappy feeling that will arise from it. Meditation will help you to disengage from it and spare you from feeling worried and bothered most of the time.
Exists and Help Someone
I am sure you feel sad, you feel useless, and you want to be alone, however, it only leads you to feel depressed that makes you feel more useless and you want to just lock yourself in your room. Feeling this way will only lead your cells to die. Some people who are having their broken hearts, mending it when they are engaged in a different fun activity. They like to be busy so that their mind will stop thinking of what had happened to them.
The same case with this. If you feel useless and alone, you need to be useless and be with people. You need to immediately take action because it leads to depression. Find someone who feels the same. Find out how you will able to help them in your little way. If you able to do that, it is a great way to help yourself as well. It is like solving your own issues in a way of helping someone.
Be in the company of people who are happy people. Do not go where you know you feel unwelcome and will only feel awkward. Set aside negative and exists.
Change the Station, No to Depression
Starts to imagine you are listening to a radio station where it plays the song you don’t understand or it plays songs that only makes you remember the saddest part of your life. What will your course of action? For sure you will change the station. It is like if you feel sad, be happy. If you feel alone, go with people around you, go out of the house and do something creatively and funny.
If you want to spend time alone to think about what causes you to feel that way, then that is your decision. However, you should not stay for long in that situation because it is the start of periods of depression. Depression ruins a person and no person has the right to push themselves to feel that way. Every person is worthy. Every person matters. If people around you make you feel down, just find people that will feel you are important. Always change the station and do it immediately.
