With the advent of the smartphone, our life has changed drastically. Almost everything is done with the help of smartphone today- movie watching, shopping, grocery, banking etc. But are these smartphones really asking you smart? Studies show we are not using our smartphones fully. Other than gaming and shopping apps there are certain other cool ways to use your smartphone.
SOME HANDY APPS TO MAKE YOU SMARTTo measure your heart rate:Back in the olden days, we will check our heart rate only when we go to a hospital for some check up or else we will place our hand on the neck and check for the heart rate and check the count using a wristwatch. All you have to do is place your index finger on the camera of your smartphone which will scan your finger with the help of color change and shows you the real-time heart rate, pulse rate and more. Find about anything with Google Goggles:You see a product but don’t know what it is. That is where Google goggles come into rescue. Simply take the picture of that specific product via Google goggles and if that it is available in Google’s huge database it will provide you with just the right information you are looking for. Let it be a painting, a famous landmark, QR code etc. It can read interpret the text in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Portuguese, and German and translate it into other languages as well. This goggles app can also work as a barcode reader. It is available for both android and ios users and it is absolutely free to download and use. Cool, right?
Now stop worrying about speeding tickets:There is this app called Trapster which helps you from ending up in a speeding ticket. This smart app maintains a massive database with the police enforcements all over the place. All you have to do is check the map and drive accordingly. It is available for android, ios and blackberry platforms for free.
Organizing business cards:If you have a lot of business contacts it is usual for us to maintain a book of business cards. But when you have your smartphone why not save space on that shelf or your desk? Thanks to the many business card apps available for both android and ios platforms such as Cam Card, Business Card Reader, World Card Mobile, Business Card Info. These apps will scan the business cards and save it for you securely.
These are some of the smart ways to use your smartphone and these are some of the new ways for me too. Some rely on smartphones just for making calls and some use it only for social media. So, why not use it this way and explore some new things in life?
